Woo All Is Well

British brothers Clive and Mark Ives are WOO. They have been recording together since the 1970s. Over
that time they have developed a sound wholly their own, combining acoustic instrumentation (primarily guitar
and clarinet) and electronics in a way that reflects the past, present and future.Touching upon jazz, psychedelic,
ambient and folk/pop idioms.Their work has drawn comparisons to Durutti Column + Cluster. They
have been recorded two albums, the stunning 1981 debut “Whichever Way You Are Going, You Are Going
Wrong” and the follow up nearly a decade later, 1989s “It‘s Cosy Inside“. Inbetween they released a dozen
cassette-only releases. Since the band has been redicovered by a younger generation in recent years most
of these obscure releases had been re-released by various international labels. This album, entitled “All Is
Well“ is a new collection of unreleased material, mostly recorded in the 1980s. Their music could be heard in
1950-1960’s sci-fi movies, or its the background musak that you hear in supermarket. It´s poppy, upbeat, multi
influenced music for mass appeal.
