Love What You Feel is back, and the family is expanding! LWYF-005 is a various artists EP featuring jams by four master craftsmen of house and techno whose music has been a mainstay in the record boxes of the label heads for years. A variety of moods makes this record essential for deejays who value versatility and quality in their bag. A1. Santiago Salazar - “Espacio Profundo” Santiago Salazar is one of the underground’s most accomplished players, having been involved with the Ican and Los Hermanos projects amongst many others. With releases on Planet E, Underground Resistance, and Rush Hour you know you can expect the finest production. His track “Espacio Profundo” is a deep, beautiful house jam with an almost disco bassline, perhaps different from what you’ve heard from him but no less outstanding. A2. Lerosa - “Ausgang” Lerosa has been releasing bangers through a variety of labels throughout the world, with his album on Uzuri and EP for Apartment being the most recent examples. On “Ausgang”, he creates a perfect summertime house track based around a looping vocal snippet and funky synth chords, sure to kill at outdoor sets and pool parties as well as clubs. B1. Moonstarr - “Complications” Moonstarr may have been relatively quiet recently, but his track record speaks for itself: releases on Sonar Kollectiv, Compost, and his own Public Transit contain many classics. For LWYF, Kevin contributes his craziest jam in a decade, “Complications”, one that is sure to be another party classic! A raved up cut with tight broken techno drum patterns, this will appeal to fans of funky dance music from bass to house and more. B2. Jason Fine - “Bang” Jason Fine got his start releasing music on Omar-S’ famed FXHE Records, and since then has been dropping heaters on Kontra-Musik that have been played by many top techno deejays. “Bang” explores the deeper end of his sound, with thick bass and delayed chords to create a hypnotic mood that will work wonders in late nite sets, making the heads go nuts.

Love What You Feel spreads the love around to four different artists for its third release. A1. Kevin Reynolds - Instruction Kevin Reynolds makes his LWYF debut with the deep, beautiful “Instruction”. Possibly the best-kept secret in Detroit, Kevin’s soulful style has served him well. “Instruction” starts out with a sly boogie beat that morphs into house territory as the synths kick in. Clanging percussion and a bassline reminiscent of “I Feel Love” round things out. Big things are in store for Mr. Reynolds, as you can hear in these grooves. A2. Anaxander - Moons Of Jupiter Anaxander is a new name to most, though his sound utilizes many familiar elements from the past. Combining tough Roland drum machine beats with hectic rave chords, “Moons of Jupiter” has a raw energy that is all too rare in house music these days. France may be where he comes from, but outer space is the limit for this guy. Keep your eye on LWYF for more from him in the future! B1. Disco Nihilist - Telephone Disco Nihilist makes his return to LWYF, the label he debuted on way back in 2009. Since then, his releases on Construction Paper and Running Back have beaten dancefloors around the world into submission. “Telephone” takes things in a slightly different direction, maintaining the hypnotic percussion but adding freaked out synth work that sounds like a malfunctioning UFO sending out distress signals. This is the kind of track that turns into fire in the hands of a proper deejay. B2. Pittsburgh Track Authority - Nite Owl Video Pittsburgh Track Authority have had a number of releases in the past year, from London’s Uzuri Records to Seattle’s Further Records, as well as the debut on their own Pittsburgh Tracks label. This time, they bring their sleaziest jam to one of their other labels, LWYF. “Nite Owl Video” is an ode to seedy video rental spots. The only way this tune could be better is if George Michael did the hook.

The man of mystery is back! Following up his killer cut “Moons of Jupiter” from LWYF-003, Anaxander is back on Love What You Feel with a full EP of his crazy French twist on house and techno. Entitled “From the Dirty South (of France)”, this record will solidify his standing as one of underground dance music’s up and coming stars. Rocking out his distinctive arrangements and flexing his feel for mixing classic house sounds with modern production aesthetics, Anaxander shows great poise across the diverse cuts on display here.

As its first full length release, Love What You Feel is proud to present Chicanismo, the debut album by Santiago Salazar. Known for his work with Underground Resistance, Ican Productions, as well as solo releases on many notable labels, Santiago brings his working man's house and techno into the world in its most pure form on this album. His use of a variety of rhythms and beautiful melodies puts him in the upper echelon of dance music producers today, and the results here are just as satisfying at home as they are in on the dancefloor. By mixing his Chicano roots with his time spent in Detroit, Santiago has created a timeless musical statement on behalf of the underdogs whose contributions to house and techno are often paid lip service to, but are much more rarely realized. The groove here is just as important as the harmonies, and they work together to achieve something very special on Chicanismo. This is music that lifts the spirit to a higher plane, the true definition of soul music.

Influenced heavily by old school Chicago house and New York’s great Nu Groove records, all four tracks were made with simple hardware and recorded to cassette tape giving this record a physical presence that computer-produced tunes can’t touch.
