Berliner-based French producer Angioma offers up a batch of fresh, techno-infused tracks with the Rebar duo on remix duties. Opener 'Regime Change' kicks off with a daunting ambiance, developing into a captivating vortex of spiralling synths atop a steady locomotive beat. 'Mutiny' complements perfectly, with its grave tension and pummeling percussion, guiding you through the track in an otherworldly manner. 'Red Sea' is a resolute, bouncy track with a glitched out lead and immersive melody, that proposes an entirely new, acid-tinged atmosphere breaching the usual norms of techno. It’s this track that catches the eye of moC label chefs Rebar who give it the remix treatment, adding some grit though brooding layers and soaring arpeggios.

For the 3rd instalment of Die Orangen’s Saft series on MT, we have invited dear friends Full Circle once again, this time remix- ing the track Krautback off DO’s album Zwei Orangen. Joakim & Alexis took a different turn from their proto-no-goa sound, with more than a nod to the late (and sadly missed) mr. Weatherall, and the result is a DUB. Another duo we are huge fans of, Smagghe & Cross, took the song Zwei and reshaped it into a minimalistic psychedelic tonal symphony, echoing the original song's voices and fx. On the B-side, after 3 years of working on it, we have finally brought together again the mighty duo Mungolian Jetset to re- work bits and pieces from the whole LP. Its a midtempo cosmic disco/house banger that keeps on giving. a pure outdoor festival gem. Last but not least, we are releasing as B2, for the first time on Vinyl, Die Orangen's collaboration with artist Eva Geist ( self-re- leased digitally earlier this year by the ginger boys themselves). A perfect collaboration, bringing out the more sunny side of the D.O. duo

Genre:Electronic / Dance
Listening to Linja’s debut LP makes one think of Polish director Yuri Norstein’s gloomy melancholic (yet playful) movies, or perhaps just of a rainy day, or Chopin. Velvet Noise is a collection of 7 experimental pieces made by Linja sometime around 2016-2017, using drum ma- chines and a lot of modular synthesisers. The album is woven with Simple melodies that crack through the squeaks and the bleeps, eery pads that fill the voids all sorts of FX. The atmosphere becomes filled with tension when it is playing in the room, as if something is clearly about to happen. Linja’s album is not so easy to describe, and yet due to its coherence and storytelling it has a certain feel and per- sonality of a good book rather than just a record. “It transcends its existence as a record”.

Decha’s Hielo Boca LP was released in early 2019 and quickly was embraced by many as an exceptional experi- mental yet very personal and soulful piece of art. Artist Viktoria Wehrmeister (half of renowned duo Toresch along- side fellow Düsseldorfian Tolouse Low Trax) is already working constantly on her sophomore album for Malka Tuti that will come some time in the near future. In the meantime, longtime fans of Viktoria, many friends of the label asked to participate in the remix project that fol- lowed Hielo Boca. On this record we will present 4 remixes that are as imag- intive, inspirational and clever as the original composition. Tapan, Eva Geist, Khidja & Philipp Otterbach took upon themselves to reconstruct Viktoria’s ideas in very surpris- ing, intriguing and “out of the box” ways.

Xen & Yovav return to Malka Tuti in 2018 with full thrust and eyes to the future. After being responsible for the first 2 releases on the label, this time the enigmatic singer and the influential producer collaborate and deliver 2 original songs. Hayom Etmol is a 100% good vibe diy post-punkish poppy song with a flowing synthetic bass line, balearic guitar riffs and dreamy vocals. The B-Side, Shavit, is a vocal led song, with a repetitive guitar bassline and, trip guitar riffs and a minimalistic drum machine. low fi in its production Shavit feels as if it has been dug out of an abandoned 80s record store in the outskirts of Glasgow or Amsterdam, with a strong cold wave feel to it.

Malka Tuti is more than happy to present Decha’s sophomore album on the label – La vida te busca. After breaking through with her solo LP in 2019 ‘Hielo Boca’, multi disciplinary artist Viktoria Wehrmeister (also known as the “better half” of Tolouse Low Trax on their collaboration project Toresch) is taking a step forward with her newest creation ‘La Vida Te Busca’ (“Life is looking for you”). On her new album Decha is refining her approach to songwriting yet not losing the naiveté and her own unique way of producing. Not abandoning her infatuation with expressional self made languages, this time Viktoria (Viki) is taking another step forward and sings in Spanish and for the first time also in German. Her Lyrics involve self reflection about life and existence as a woman, as a mother, as an artist, as a creator. She sings about her day to day experiences, her emotions, and about her encounters with her surroundings – with the people, the nature, and her place amongst it all. The Music she produces to accompany those lyrics is raw and repetitive, in some songs (Ser, Chebechu) soft and in others echoing a long lost tribal (Sueñ Bien, Icconuvatu) heritage. The album consists of 7 songs that are pure Decha- a personal transcendence of who and what Viktoria is. It was mixed by Stefan Vester, and mastered by Enrico Mercaldi at Time Tools Mastering. The artwork is using a painting by artist and friend Florian Krewer.

In 2017-2018 Japanese musician Kuniyuki Takahashi joined forces with his Swedish friend Marcus Hen- riksson (half of Son Kite / Minilogue) for a few jam sessions that were recorded in Tokyo in late 2017 and later digitally released by the artists themselves. The sessions were as they called it “an improvised live recordings..” And out of them came the d-N-A Sessions. Being friends of both musicians, the mysterious JAKAM (with 2 releases already on MT) decided to edit and rework 2 of the jam-session tracks... Using his unique sonic aesthetics, playing a lot of percussion rhythms and overlaying them on existing acid parts and drum machines, the result is breath- taking... Two tribal house Big Room cuts, for peak time club or festival set... Nothing like you’ve ever heard before...

After the major success of Part 1, Cosmo Vitelli & Malka Tuti are presenting Holiday in Panikstrasse Part 2, the 2nd and final part of Cosmo’s 2XLP on the label. After collaborating with Fantastic Twins on Part 1, the amazing Julienne Dessagne’s vocals are back on Part 2 as well for the opening track Fragments of Reality. Another collaboration on the record is with Croatian singer and vocalist Tanja Vezic, whom we’ve already seen collaborating with Cosmo on his Les Disque De La Mort release, and who gives a cinematic sort of feeling to the track Party old boy. With “He just wanted to hang out with the DJs” Cosmo creates a slow burning dark banger that will not go unnoticed. The final track Irritable is the perfect mixture between German Krautrock heritage and the French disco-synth touch of the 80s - emotional, growing and cathartic, one cannot stay indifferent to it.

Die Orangen back on the adventurous Malka Tuti with their sophomore album ZWEI ORANGEN. It’s been two years since their debut album Zest animated the underground scene, merging obscure samples, field- recordings, krautrock motifs and a spattering of humour and self-perception into their newly forged genre: Krautback. The Australian duo - Kris Baha & Dreems - return with 2 more years of wisdom tucked under their hats to deliver a matured, developed sound. The industrial sonics & propen- sity for a dusty bush-beaten tone remain, however the sam- ples and ambience take a backseat, handing the map over to the guitar riffs, vocals and song writing to navigate the al- bums vast terrain. Collaborators Jono Ma (of Jagwar Ma), Alex Akers (of Forces) and Hayley Morgan expand the al- bum into a diverse journey across zones and styles, offering their own observation of the spacious musical world of Die Orangen. These 11 tracks will make you contemplate, they’ll will make you reminisce, they’ll give you friendly advice, they’ll ask you to dance, and they’ll question the direction of your compass... Fear not, however, this is music for everybody. As the Oranges say "Saft für alle”

Kapitan is Dori Sadovnik, half of the groundbreaking dancefloor-scorching duo Red Axes. In his debut solo LP Alaska, Kapitan takes us on a journey into the deepest realms of his inner psyche. Through his modular synth experimentations, his analogue approach for synthesis and organic instruments he created an lp that is both personal and outgoing, fresh and nostalgic at the same time. Weaving samples from his non-stop traveling schedule as half of one of todays top dance acts, playing guitars, drum machines and synthesizers, the album feels contem- porary and timeless, like it could have been written at anytime in the past 30 years and still feel relevant than ever, echoing Mort Garcon’s modular experimentations as well as early Air music.

Cosmo Vitelli hasn’t slept since 1973. Instead, he’s replaced slumber with the tireless exploration of electronic music, sharing his finds as an accomplished DJ and label manager as well as an esteemed producer, with heaps of records, remixes and edits under his belt. With his upcoming two-part LP on Malka Tuti, Cosmo brings forward his more diverse and somehow mature musical side, combining elements of post-punk, krautrock, electronica and pop on this first of 2 four-track records. The songs on the LP transcend style and genre. They manage to hold and playfully sustain an idea that echoes throughout them all - a musical “saying” as well as a personal life experience, and they reflect Cosmo’s prolific studio work of the past 2 years since he moved to Berlin. On the opening song A Brand New City he collaborates with longtime friend Julienne Dessagne (aka Fantastic Twins). Dessagne's vocals cut through the quirky and addictive percussion groove and synth sequence, leading to a a strong emotional melancholic melodic catharsis. On the following two songs Groupe Surdose & Die Alraune we find Cosmo collaborating with Sebastian Lee Philipp (of Die Wilde Jagd fame) to show his more post-rock/krautrock side. Groupe Surdose is an instant classic slow burning dance floor Krautrock tune while in Die Alruane we find poetic German lyrics sung by Lee-Philipp on top of organic grooves, guitars and an epic Saxophone line that together create a distinctive highlight for the record. The closing track Kuldip is the curve ball of them all, sealing the first part of his album with a Mediterranean mid tempo dance tune for the selectors and the middle-eastern inspired electro aficionados.

To sign off 2018, Malka Tuti are releasing a mega 4- tracker ep by Khida, in collaboration with their old time friend from back home Mihai Balabas. The 4 different tracks were written over the past few years, slowly plotted produced and perfected, each in its own “twisted” direction. There are no dancefloor killers here, but instead 4 very unique voyages, experimental sonic excursions in time and space. It was the track Chloe that caught our attention, back in 2015. It's not a typical Khidja track, but the musicality and the composition in it reminded us of lost balearic moments. It made us reminisce on summery Sunday mornings back when life was still a bit more innocent, and naive. Out of our infatuation with that track came the idea of “sitting on it” until the right tracks will be ready, and here we are, more than 3 years later.

Plazmot are Yovav (Known for his past productions on Malka Tuti and Correspondant Records as well as being part of the infamous Shame On Us trio) & Assaf Bloom, another upcoming talent from the city that doesn’t want to sleep - Tel Aviv. With their debut release Plazmot brings forward 2 very different tracks, showing the versatility in their productions (and amazing live shows!). On the A-side you will find Orot Levanim (White Strobes in Hebrew), a mid tempo new wave synth-pop song in Hebrew, layered on funky drum machines, guitar riffs and melodies that more than refer to the British synth-pop of the late 70’s and early 80’s but with a visible mediterranean diy touch. The B-side is Allenby, named after one of the key axis’s in Tel-Aviv’s nightlife. Allenby is what techno in Tel Aviv in 2018 is, a crossbreed of Red Axes & Carl Craig, inspired by the both yet with a different vector, almost a song like writing for a techno track. Its atmospheric, its pushing forward, its romantic in its epicness and its both contemporary and eternal.

Exactly one year after their sold-out debut album Zest, Die Orangen (aka Dreems & Kris Baha) are zurück! Malka Tuti and Die Orangen have concocted a double dish, a two part remix package, Saft 1 & Saft 2. The first part consists of a new live version of the track Yaranabe, recorded in a live session as part of the Duo’s infamous analogue live act. A2 is Tapan’s remix of Metal Man. The poem-not-poem is taking shape as a low bpm banger when Tapan’s heavy signature kick meets those trippy vocals. This is Tapan’s first track to be made after finishing their debut Album last year on MT, and its an interesting evolution of their sound, slow dark and punchy, yet with these vocals and bassline, also a catchy post-pop track for the later hours. On the B-side lies Gordon Pohl’s reimagination of Mersey River (aka “the Platypus track”). The tracks “epic", long slow ambient opening and evolution into rhythm resembles in many ways the psychedelic collaboration works of the late Pete Namlook & Move D on Namlooks own Fax records, which was always a significant influence on the Malka Tuti world.

2LP | 2017 | EU | Original (Malka Tuti)

Release:2017 / EU – Original
Genre:Electronic / Dance
This 2XLP album, Europa, is dedicated to and inspired by events in 2015 & 2016, which saw the spectre of global crisis come knocking at Europe’s doorstep. During this time, more than a million migrants and refugees fled their homes in the Middle East, Northern Africa, sub-Saharan Africa and other conflict ravaged areas in search of a better life. For many, hopes of a future for themselves and their families lay in continental Europe. As already said about the preceding 12” single with the same name - One of the most well- trodden paths on this journey was the Balkan route, a trail leading through Turkey, Greece, and the former Yugoslavia.. This route was not without its dangers, and the dreams of thousands upon thousands were dashed by impassible security fences and discordant EU politics, as one by one they were turned away at borders, or worse, forcibly returned to their countries of origin. Europa was recorded during long jam sessions in Belgrade as the media spotlight started to dim. The city became the purgatorial destination for a large number of migrants, whose journeys had been cut short. This double LP reflects the atmosphere of disillusionment and uncertainty about the future, which descended on the Serbian capital. Dark and melancholic saxophone playing on top of heavy kicks and Mediterranean percussions dominate the epic 17 minutes title track. The collaboration with Jerusalem in My heart continues the melancholic atmosphere, adding to it JIMH signature delayed baglama sounds, to create a 12 minute emotional journey, tearing away abstract concepts of “longing” and “home” with ever growing tension and magnitude. Genre-less, illusive and not easy to categorize, Tapan’s debut album on Malka Tuti is an original soundtrack of a fragment in time and space, capturing a moment and transcending it musically for the rest of the world to experience. Silkscreen print - 180gr Vinyl - Sticker - Insert.
