The record will be released in a limited edition of 500 numbered copies. For each 100 copies the silk-screen printed cover will change its colour. F.S.K. (Freiwillige Selbstkontrolle) is an art school band from Munich that formed in 1980 in the editorial office of the underground magazine Mode & Verzweiflung and issued disturbing slogans of a new dissidence like: Wir sagen Ja zur modernen Welt (we say yes to the modern world) and Heute Disco, morgen Umsturz, übermorgen Landpartie (disco today, coup tomorrow, a country outing the day after). The Italian Futurists’ idea to flood Venice was joyfully appealing to them so they made the serious demand to convert theaters into parking garages (Theater zu Parkhäusern). The futuristic development of so- called noisemakers (a productive modification of the sounds of industrialized cities as well as the completely new war machines of World War I) carried a key moment of deviant pop music into its emerging discourse: clipping, distortion, Bring the Noise.

Release:2016 / EU – Original
Finally, Justus Köhncke is unveiling new tracks! His first release since »Justus Köhncke & The Wonderful Frequency Band« (KOMPAKT, 2013) is both daring and serious. Five songs in German, interpretations of material by Howard Carpendale, Juliane Werding and Nik P. plus English-into-German translations of two pop classics (»Twist In My Sobriety« by Tanita Tikaram, »Captain Of Her Heart« by DOUBLE). This is not an ironic joke about seemingly ›stupid music‹ or ›Schlager‹: Köhncke embraces these five compositions and turns them into his own. They transmutate into his very own vision of ›nu-german comps-soul‹ while retaining Justus’ unique sound. The EP will be released digitally and as a limited vinyl 12” on the Berlin-based label »Martin Hossbach. We cry, we sing. Alone.

Release:2016 / EU – Original
The secret after-hour über-hit of the 90s, Matthias Strzoda’s »Tasse Kaffee«, gets its first release on 7” vinyl on Berlin-based label »Martin Hossbach«. Strzoda is the go-to drummer for Andreas Dorau and Rocko Schamoni. While working on songs for Dorau in the 1995 Strzoda wrote the lyrics to »Tasse Kaffee« while Dorau, Tommi Eckart (of 2raumwohnung, acting as producer) and Strzoda composed the music. The b-side gives us a previously unreleased living-room demo from 1994 by Strzoda of the Andreas Dorau classic »Bye-bye«.

They only played a single song, »In de Desert (Very Strange)«, for two hours. Martin Hossbach immediately decided to found his eponymous label »Martin Hossbach« after seeing On+Brr onstage at »Westwerk« in Hamburg in April 2012. Two years later, the maxi-single (catalogue number 1) is now being released on 9 June 2014 and contains two additional tracks (»Groove Is in the Hair« and »Golden City«) by the Hamburg-based producers Rodion Levin and Philipp Meiers: Dada braindance with bizarre baritone vocals. Strange indeed!
