Monkey Marc is a hip hop producer from Melbourne, Australia. His music is influenced by early hip hop, reggae, 80s and 90s Jamaican dancehall and world music. He is also the producer for his political hip hop band Combat Wombat. He has collaborated with British reggae artists included Soom T, Roots Manuva, YT and Speng Bond, as well as Jamaican reggae artists including Iba Mahr, Dre Island, Sizzla, Capleton, Fantan Mojah, Lutan Fyah and Turbulence.“No Surrender Riddim EP” is a limited edition release from Monkey Marc's new Jamaican project with only 500 copies pressed. Pressed on a 10" vinyl and mastered at London's bass heavy giants Transition Mastering, this vinyl pressing weighs and sounds heavy. In an era of transient digital production throughout the modern music industry, Monkey Marc’s production hearkens back to the classic sound of golden era hip hop and the raw energy of 90s dancehall. No Surrender was produced on an MPC3000 and an ATC1 analog synthesizer, and tracked through a vintage BBC broadcast mixing console in Monkey Marc’s solar-powered studio in Melbourne, Australia. This 10" vinyl includes versions by Sizzla, Fantan Mojah and Capleton, the instrumental version, and the title track with the three artists. Additional production by Mista Savona (Havana Meets Kingston). The entire EP is available as a bonus digital download with every record purchase. This includes two extra versions by Jah Thunder and Spring Wata.

Limited edition vinyl! The second 7inch in the Jahtari floppy disc series sees the return of Monkey Marc from the red sands of the Australian outback to his solar powered studio inside a shipping container on a Melbourne junkyard.Cooked up between old school samplers, obscure synths and tape delays the cuts on this double-sided disc come right from the edge of an abysmal echo chamber: cavernous reverbs, the extra-lush keys from an Emulator III and Monkey Marc’s huge MPC 3000 sound that’s entirely his own.
