Critics believe the Zombies were ill-served during the 1960s, that they deserved a higher place in public affection. But, well over half a century since a group of schoolboys won first prize in a talent contest, the Zombies have outlasted many of their contemporaries, and continue to attract fresh audiences with their timeless music, the best of which can be heard in this glorious 2LP collection.

Formed in 1972, Ace released three albums on the Anchor label between 1974 and 1977, but will always be remembered for one song from their Number 11 album ‘Five-A-Side’. That song, ‘How Long’, made Number 20 in their native United Kingdom but went all the way to Number 3 in the States in 1975 – quite an achievement for a band that unashamedly took its musical inspiration from that side of the Atlantic. Enjoy their best as originally delivered, on vinyl.
