Release:1980 / EU – Reissue
Genre:Rock / Indie
Punk-mod group The Cigarettes formed in Lincoln (UK) in late 1977. They recorded a seven-track demo-cassette in June 1978 that was sold at gigs and through mailorder. One year later The Cigarettes released their debut-EP through Company Records. The band's second EP, reissued here, came out on Dead Good Records in 1980 and it's another highly interesting title for anyone into punk history.

Release:1981 / UK – Reissue
Genre:Rock / Indie
Edition of 500 copies on black vinyl. Includes lyric insert. Originally released in the UK in 1981 by Jamming Records. Rudi is one of the all time favourite bands of many, and perhaps one of the most underrated bands too. So it was a MUST of Paramecium Records to reissue their Jamming! (Paul Weller's label) singles.

After their successful first single 'Get Your Woofing Dog Off Me' these guys of West Yorkshire released their second single 'Cool' on Lightning Records in 1979, now reissued on Paramecium Records. The Jerks exemplified British punk; raw, urgent and provocative. The tracks were originally recorded at Berry Street Studios in London and re-mastered and restored by R. Landau. Limited to 500 copies.

Founded as a glammy rock band in 1975 (influenced by a.o. Bowie and Mott The Hooople), Cane quickly changed direction in 1976 when the first signs of the punk movement became visible in the UK. In 1978 the track 'College Girls' appeared on Lightning Records' 'Streets' compilation and in the same period the band released its sole 7-inch, '3x3'. This is a reissue of that historical punk single, complete with remastered sound.

Release:1979 / UK – Reissue
Genre:Rock / Indie
Reisue of this cool 7-inch, originally released in 1979 on LOOK Records in the UK. The Negatives were the first (and the best) punk band from Bradford. They were formed in 1978 by Pete Stobbs (guitar), Bob Robinson (bass), Tino Palmer (drums) and Dave Wilcox (vocals). All began with an ad in the Melody Maker and one year later they released their single in an edition of 1000. No less than 500 copies were sold in one day in the 'Guy Watson' shop in Bradford. Only the first 100 copies of the original release had a hand-drawn sleeve. One of these was chosen for this reissue of 500 copies! The band split up in early 1980, but thye memories and their recorded legacy remain an interesting chapter in UK punk history.
Circles - Opening Up
Opening Up
7" | 1979 | UK | Reissue (Paramecium)
9,99 €*
Release:1979 / UK – Reissue
Genre:Rock / Indie
Opening Up' was originally released in the UK on Graduate Records in 1979. The Circles from Wolverhampton were another band that, during their one year existence (1979-'80), recorded some great songs that are still remembered 40 years later. The two songs of the single, 'Opening Up' b/w 'Billy', perfectly represent what the Mod revival was all about. Combining the mod music of the '60s with a bit of '70s punk energy. This single was previously reissued in 2001 by 1977 Records, so this basically is a re-reissue. Edition of 500 copies.
