Vanessa Amara - Manos
Vanessa Amara
LP | 2018 | EU | Original (Posh Isolation)
21,99 €*
Release:2018 / EU – Original
Genre:Electronic / Dance
Vanessa Amara's new album trails shorthand piano pieces and wilted strings throughmagnificent, electro-acoustic surrounds, often settling into buzzing, syncopatedreveries. Always intricate, and effortlessly tender, 'Manos' is an album as textural asit is melodic, and it is certainly the most exquisite suite of works to have beenpresented by Vanessa Amara thus far.

Varg Hvide Sejl & F. Valentin
2LP | 2017 | EU | Original (Posh Isolation)

Release:2017 / EU – Original
Genre:Electronic / Dance
Much needed reissue of 'Brazil,' a collaborative work by three spearheads ofScandinavian electronic music today. The original edition was presented in alimited run of four cassettes, boxed and with an accompanying book. This reissueis a remastered double LP set, inviting a new set of listeners to the work. Foursides of uniquely textured summer ambience, industrial rhythms, synthesizerpieces, and piano works, complete 'Brazil.' The luxuriant melodic drones of LokeRahbek's Hvide Sejl project converge with the percussive work of Varg and thelargely acoustic work of Frederik Valentin of Kyo, producing a fragile beauty.Thereis a sense of narrative to 'Brazil.' The work cryptically leads us through a smallcollection of moving panoramas. Keeping its distance, the storyline remainsperpetually obscured.. A multifaceted affair for multifaceted affairs."Things weresomehow so good that they were in danger of becoming very bad because what isfully mature is very close to rotting."

Genre:Film / TV
Farväl Falkenberg is a soundtrack to the movie of the same name. It is 10 years oldthis year and Posh Isolation is rereleasing it in a remastered version with new artwork, giving it its first widespread LP release to date. When Farväl Falkenberg was originallyreleased, the record label responsible, Kning Disk, wrote "- having not only created alush record full of thick, back country piano and raw, acoustic guitar waltzes,Enocksson has more importantly produced an album that effortlessly translates thefeeling of isolation (both geographically and emotionally) in an intensely personal wayyou don't often come across." With such a statement it seems only natural that now10 years later it should find a new home via Posh Isolation. "It is hard to overstate theimportance Erik Enocksson's work in relation to the discography of Posh Isolation.Years before we met, his release "Apan" completely changed how I thought of music.Something similar happened when I later heard Farväl Falkenberg for the first time. Iwas in a car going from Prague to Berlin sitting on the backseat, the person next tome had tears down her cheeks in the middle of the first song, by the end of therecord the whole car was silent and remained so for the rest of the drive. It is rare towitness music with such effect and it is not often that a record could have that effectstill, ten years after its initial release. I think Farväl Falkenberg can. - Loke Rahbek
Damien Dubrovnik - Great Many Arrows

Great Many Arrows
LP | 2017 | EU | Original (Posh Isolation)
18,99 €*
Release:2017 / EU – Original
Genre:Rock / Indie
Great Many Arrows' is the 6th studio album from Damien Dubrovnik, the Danish duoof Loke Rahbek and Christian Stadsgaard. It is also the 200th release on their PoshIsolation label, marking 8 years for both the label and project. The label's inceptioncame with Damien Dubrovnik's debut album, and since then the two have beeninseparable. Without Damien Dubrovnik there would most likely have been no PoshIsolation, and vice versa.'Great Many Arrows' is undoubtedly a high point in the varieddiscographies of both Rahbek and Stadsgaard. It is the most realized DamienDubrovnik recording to date, and a standout in Posh Isolation's troves. As a record,'Great Many Arrows' manages to translate the intensity of the duo's oftenunrestrained live shows in to carefully crafted studio productions. Unlike the pair'searlier and largely electronic recordings, the compositions on 'Great Many Arrows'set organs, cellos, violas, wind and other acoustic instruments against the backdrop ofan electronic landscape. The new toolset is as apparent on the surface as it is in theenclosed detail, taking the project further from its noise roots than it has ever been. This is not to say that Rahbek and Stadsgaard have traded ferocity for formalconstraint. It is rather the opposite. While 'Great Many Arrows' is certainly the pair'smost 'musical' work to date, its veneer of accessibility might also make it their mostterrifying. The strength of the recording lies here in the interaction between themelodic, acoustic instrumentation and the bulldozing electronics. Moments of beautyand light are transfigured into utter chaos and rage, the mesmerising change anexpression of the equal and opposite form's natural sway as it beckons and slipsbetween its own passing.'Great Many Arrows' takes its name from a historic archerycompetition in Kyoto, Japan, in which archers would shoot as many arrows as possiblefor a 24 hour period. On April 26, 1686, Wasa Daihachiro from Kishu successfullyshot 8,133 out of 13,053 arrows, averaging 544 arrows an hour, or 9 arrows a minute, becoming the record holder.

Vanity Productions
Only The Grains Of Love Remain
LP | 2017 | UK | Original (Posh Isolation)
16,99 €*
Release:2017 / UK – Original
Genre:Rock / Indie
Vanity Productions' full-length 'Only The Grains Of Love Remain' rates as the project's most eloquent work to date. Following on from 2016's 'Mardini', the album takes a delicate and determined route through the usual terrain of Vanity Productions. Mapped with musique concrète's metrics, there is an uneasy sensation between guilty revulsion and cosmic longing captured in the moments of harmony.
Khalil - The Water We Drink
The Water We Drink
LP | 2017 | EU | Original (Posh Isolation)
18,99 €*
Release:2017 / EU – Original
Genre:Electronic / Dance
The Water We Drink' is the debut album from Khalil, a close confidante of PoshIsolation, and naturally a project close to the heart. With an iridescent shower ofauto-tuned vocals and encrypted synthetic forms, Khalil presents a luminous routeinto a future of cadences pitched to a crushing intensity. As the new project of NikolajVonsild, best known for his pop endeavours in the synth quartet When Saints GoMachine, as well as his acoustic duo Cancer, Khalil is his strongest vision to date. Thecollaborative platform for Vonsild's searing angelic/alien vocals is produced with SimonFormann, better know as Yen Towers and formerly of Lower (RIP), along with VillasKlint. With water we feel differently. Indifferently of course, it approaches our senseof touch quite unlike any other matter or form. It slips and caresses, appealing to asensuality so intuitive it barely registers beyond its immediacy. It's an urgency thatalways arrives. The ocean tells us so on the shore; a perennial pleasure, a forgivableobsession. That the coast, its container, the edge of where we safely stand and wherewater waits, is a form just as much as it is a dissolving place, then considering a designsuch as that of an Evian natural spring water bottle amounts to staring at the stars.Thematically, Khalil draws constellations and cites emotive signals with this kind ofdeep union between form and touch. Finding perhaps a place undiscovered.Across thealbum the impulses of the romantic lyricism are diverted through artificial mechanismsand unnatural vocal terrains. Set against a melodic chorus of fractured pop, there is acertain sense in which the aching wane of Khalil feels like an ensemble of identitiesgrasping for a form as water may grasp for land.If there's reason to feel that bottledwater is a portable piece of something greater than ourselves, then Khalil distributeshigh definition pop tropes with the same logic. The radio is an ocean, and Khalil'slonging a hydrating force.
Croatian Amor - Finding People
Croatian Amor
Finding People
LP | 2017 | EU | Original (Posh Isolation)
11,99 €*
Release:2017 / EU – Original
Genre:Electronic / Dance
An assembly of choral traces and transmissions, these four new tracks arethe project's clearest move towards pop. At the same time, this is perhapsthe weirdest record yet from Croatian Amor, introducing a complexity thatwe have not previously seen. From the cut-up, granulated rhythm sectionand auto-tuned choir of the opener 'Sky Walkers', to the duetting ballad of'Finding People'-featuring additional vocals from new name Khalil-the recordnever rests for long. The exploration is soothing, its search a tonic to theswarm of emotion it provokes. And while the four tracks on Finding Peoplebarely reach 20 minutes it still manages to present the sharpest vision of theproject so far.

Music For A Dance Performance
LP | 2015 | DK | Original (Posh Isolation)
20,99 €*
Release:2015 / DK – Original
Genre:Electronic / Dance
Olymphia is the shared work of Kristian Emdal and Loke Rahbek and their first LP finds them in an electro-acoustic blur between rhythmical work, music concrete and modular and string based drones. 'Music for a Dance Performance' was recorded over two years between Copenhagen’s Mayhem and Stockholm’s EMS studios. 'Music for a Dance Performance' shows Olymphia parting with their former figure of intense physical music and moving towards a more refined yet no less intense expression. A triumphant mutation of audio media, like going from athletics to dance. Dance demands a degree of service higher than any other performing arts or sport. In sport the signs of effort are not concealed. On the contrary, making an effort visible is part of the display - people expect it. Dance is quite different. Actions within the dance performance should seem effortless and enact being both completely in the body, whilst at the same time transcending it. With Olymphia’s debut album, Emdal and Rahbek are portraying a not yet executed dance performance through five pieces of seemingly effortless dialogue. 'Music For a Dance Performance' is ultimately an ode to the potential of dance.

The Female Form
LP | 2015 | EU | Original (Posh Isolation)
25,99 €*
Release:2015 / EU – Original
Genre:Electronic / Dance
The second collaborative record between two of Copenhagen's most prolific experimental music personas. Frederikke Hoffmeier's Puce Mary project is known from several solo and collaborative releases and performances all over the world. Loke Rahbek is probably best known for his work as half of Posh Isolation and his projects under the aliases Croatian Amor, Damien Dubrovnik, Lust for Youth, Var and an impressive body of work manifested both as records, performances and strange places in between. 'The Female Form' is a demanding and intriguing venture into the world of the two artists, even if we are left at the doorstep with the door closed in front of us.

White Void is the solo project of Frederik Lind Köppen, who is known from many different projects over the last few years, lately as drummer of the 4 piece band Communions that released their debut EP through Posh Isolation earlier this year. White Void is a different beast, distorted & unique in its compositions, it is difficult to fit under any genre term. While the production leans towards primitiv punk and metal, the tracks carry with them an underlying pop sensibility, that makes it hard to explain, but proves yet again that Frederik Lind Köppen is (even with his young age) already an incredibly talented song writer and a unique musical mind. Young and unbalanced heart throbbing rock music.
