We are extremely proud to announce the return of Pye Corner Audio to Lapsus Records with the EP, "Where Things Are Hollow", comprised of four breath-taking songs that transport the listener to a dystopian future throughout its twenty-four minute duration. Martin Jenkins aka "the artist’s artist" explores emotive techno in "Resist" and "Northern Safety Route", two tracks that coast through progressive arpeggios, slow pulsating beats and soaring pads. Meanwhile "Mainframe" and "Continental Drift" move through more ambient and melancholic terrains, two cinematic songs that are perhaps reminiscent of works by John Carpenter or Delia Derbyshire. In short, "Where Things Are Hollow" is a beguiling analogue electronica EP that is guaranteed to delight Pye Corner Audio fans and new listeners alike. This special release will also feature the collaboration of two of the country’s most prestigious independent graphic artists, Alex Trochut and Basora, whose artwork for "Where Things Are Hollow" is sure to become a collector's piece.

Martin Jenkins dons the Pye Corner Audio alias once more, transferring to Death Waltz in order to deliver the soundtrack to an imaginary horror film. It's naturally an all-analogue affair, with Jenkins making the most of his impressive collection of vintage synths, analogue drum machines and effects units. There's much to enjoy from start to finish. Check, for example, the ghostly chords, foreboding bassline and spacey electronics of "Do You Hear Then", the creepy, Carpenter-ish horror-ambience of "It May Not Be Real", the evocative late night paranoia of "Descent" - which is similar in tone to some of Jonny Jewel's soundtrack work - and the clattering dancefloor throb of "The Spiral", whose bassline, beats and darting melodies are just begging to be played over a booming club soundsystem.

Conceived as a kind of sequel to 2012’s Sleep Games, there’s an epic sensibility to Stasis. The haunted concrete caverns of the earlier album give way here, to vast, awe inspiring spaces. The album has a strong narrative flow that can be read either as the soundtrack for an interplanetary voyage under suspended animation, or the exploration of vast inner realms under some other form of technologically enhanced sleep.Martin Jenkins' unique production sound is unmistakable: Carpenter-esque slow kosmiche disco and ambience, woozy synth melodies and somnambulistic grooves with soft, rich textures.
