Born of working class roots in Edinburgh, Scotland, The Exploited emerged from the punk underground in 1981 with the release of their debut LP, Punk's Not Dead. A direct reaction to Crass' "Punk Is Dead", The Exploited brought to the early 80s all the fire, speed and attitude of 1977's first wave, with an street/Oi! swagger that was fresh. Peaking at #20 on the UK charts, Punk's Not Dead was the best selling independent record of 1981. Another essential piece of the UK Oi! scene of the early 1980s reissued by Radiation.

Klasse Kriminale are one of the longest running Italian punk bands, forming way back in 1985 and releasing their most recent album just a few years ago. Raised on a steady diet of The Clash, Sham 69, and other great UK groups of the late 70s and early 80s, Klasse Kriminale brought their own awesome blend of OI!, punk, ska, and reggae to the table and made some of the most memorable European punk records of the late 80s and 90s. Ci Incontreremo Ancora Un Giorno! is their second album, originally released in 1990, and reissued here in all its glory. Essential Italian punk that deserves more international acclaim and Radiation Reissues is here to bring it to them.

Blasting out of the north of London in 1980, Infa-Riot (short for the term "in for a riot") perfectly encapsulated the youthful working class angst of the nascent OI! scene and were peers with early groups like The Angelic Upstarts, 4 Skins, and The Business - two of which were their label mates at the legendary Secret Records. After releasing a few compilation tracks their very first stand-alone single "Kids of The 80s" shot all the way to number 2 on the UK charts. Infa-Riot were a big part of the UK sound of 1981-1982 and this collection compiles their classic singles and ripping compilation tracks and is an essential addition to any true UK OI! and punk collection.

Bristol's own Vice Squad were one of the earliest UK punk groups with a female lead vocalist. Beki Bondage was a heartthrob to any British lad of a certain age and her dynamic stage presence and vocal prowess made Vice Squad one of the most popular acts of the second wave of British punk. This killer collection on Radiation features all the Riot City singles plus BBC sessions and demos as well as the classic Sex Aids single (member of Vice Squad and Chaotic Dischord without Beki Bondage). Another essential UK punk compilation from one of the greatest singles bands of the early 80s scene.

Formed in London in 1977 by Mark Perry and Alex Fergusson, then editors of the punk fanzine Sniffin' Glue, Alternative TV was a post-punk group known for incorporating reggae rhythms and pushing the boundaries of the definition of punk towards the experimental and avant-garde. Their first album, The Image Has Cracked, came out originally in 1978 and is a wholly unique piece of British post-punk. Beloved by John Peel, and close confidantes of Throbbing Gristle, Alternative TV is one of the most original and beguiling groups of the era. This classic is reissued on 180 gram with 2 bonus tracks and a double-sided insert.

LP | 1971 | EU | Reissue (Radiation Reissues)

Release:1971 / EU – Reissue
Genre:Reggae / Dancehall
Released in Jamaica in 1971 and produced by Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry, Soul Revolution Part II is a sequel of sorts to Bob Marley And The Wailers’ debut LP, 1970’s Soul Rebel. The Wailers’ work with Scratch is considered by many reggae fans to mark career pinnacles for all involved, and classic hymns like ‘Don’t Rock My boat’ or the revisitation of Curtis Mayfield’s ‘Keep On Moving’ were destined to become among the more widely hailed efforts in the repertoire of Bob Marley. An historical milestone in early reggae history, back on shiny heavyweight vinyl.

Dennis Manuel Brown belongs to that élite band of reggae artists who have succeeded in achieving true international stardom. Often hailed today as ‘Bob Marley’s favorite singer’ Dennis Brown had managed not only to achieve elusive chart success with ‘Money In My pocket’ but has also regularly performed in the United Kingdom and Europe. This album captures the artist at their peak of his performing ability during his considerable run of chart successes in 1979. He performed with the outstanding ‘We The People’ band made up of the cream of the Jamaican session world including Robbie Shakespeare, Sly Dunbar, and Lloyd Parkes. The tour was fraught with problems not least of which was the enormous financial burden on promoter and record company alike caused by the overheads involved in moving more than a dozen people throughout Europe and is probably best illustrated by the fact that every one of the musicians missed their flight from Kingston!

Named after California State Route 39 (aka Beach Blvd.), which runs north-south through Orange County, this 1979 compilation originally released on Posh Boy is a seminal piece of Orange County punk rock. Featuring tracks from The Simpletones, The Crowd, and Rik L Rik (basically a later incarnation of Negative Trend with Rik on vocals), Beach Blvd. set the stage for the Southern California hardcore explosion of the 1980s and showed tons of kids from outside the big city, growing up bored and lonely in the suburbs, that they had a voice and an outlet in this nascent rock form. One of the all-time essential pieces of punk rock from the greater LA area, and although the names on the track list might not be as instantly recognizable as Black Flag, or X, or The Germs, make no mistake, Beach Blvd. influenced a generation of punk kids in a massive way. Finally back in print on LP thanks to Radiation Reissues.

Ear Of Beholderisone of the most beguiling and adventurous records of the 1970s, which is saying a lot as that is a musical decade marked by groundbreaking creativity! Originally released in 1971 on John Peel's Dandelion label LolCoxhill's sprawling double album debut is an avant-garde jazz masterstroke that features Robert Wyatt and much of the Whole World group, Kevin Ayers' backing band at the time (of which Lol was a member). Ranging from straight up feedback to reworkings of standards, outdoor recordings to spoken word, improvisation to vaudeville,Ear Of Beholdercovers more ground in 2 LPs than most artists do in a lifetime. Difficult, adventurous listening from one of British jazz's most brilliant innovators.

Formed in the late '70s at the same high school that spawned L.A. legends T.S.O.L., Rhino 39 had an unfortunate fate. After releasing one of the most legendary singles of the L.A. scene on Dangerhouse in 1979 - which included a track ("Prolixin Stomp") that is considered by many to be one of the earliest examples of L.A. hardcore - the lead singer, Dave Dacron, died in a car accident in April of 1980. His younger brother took over lead singing duties and though it took another 6 years for their self-titled debut LP to be released, it still sounds like classic early '80s L.A. punk. A legendary band with a long forgotten classic LP finally back in print on Radiation Deluxe. Limited to 500 copies on 180 gram vinyl.

One of the best kept secrets of the early pre-NYHC scene, along with Bad Brains, Beastie Boys, Heart Attack, Undead, Kraut, etc., the never-on-vinyl-before lost album by Even Worse, featuring "Big Takeover" magazine editor Jack Rabid (and previously Beastie Boys' founder John Berry, and eventually Noise the Show host/Hugo Largo's Timmy Sommer, and Sonic Youth's Thurston Moore's only punk rock band in a later incarnation), with their classic "New York Thrash" compilation lineup recorded at the famous 171A studio, co-produced by Bad Brains, with additional live tracks from New York's legendary Max's Kansas City club in 1981. Limited to 500 copies on 180 gram vinyl.

It is impossible to overstate the significance of The Crowd to the nascent L.A. hardcore scene. Whilst bands like early Agent Orange and Social Distortion were playing to handfuls of fans in northern Orange County, in 1979 the Crowd were already filling backyards on their home turf in Huntington Beach, California. Ironically, it was further afield in the San Gabriel Valley that I first saw them perform, opening for the still punk Go-Gos in a small club. Without the continuing success of The Crowd in 1979 and throughout the summer of 1980, I would have packed my bags for London. Instead, the L.A. hardcore scene lifted off!

Formed in 1987 these British shoegaze/space-rock mainstays drew inspiration from the 60s psych and rock scene, particularly The Velvets, The 13th Floor Elevators, Love, and The Byrds, as well as contemporaries such as My Bloody Valentine, and The Jesus & Mary Chain. Their second LP, a self-titled affair from 1992 originally released on Creation is where they truly took off and found their original voice with a tight batch of hook-laden tunes. An essential piece of UK shoegaze and psychedelia, The Telescopes is back in print on vinyl for the first time in nearly a decade.

Originally released on Trojan in 1974, it was essentially a re-release of the Soul Rebels LP from 1970, with a few extra tracks. This historic release marked Bob Marley & the Wailers first collaboration with Lee Perry and the true beginning of their musical and spiritual commitment to Rastafari. This is Bob Marley and the original Wailers (Peter Tosh & Bunny Wailer) long before they became international reggae superstars with Island. The tracks found here redefined reggae music, tracks like "Soul Rebel," "Duppy Conqueror," "Small Axe" never sounded better.

Hailing from Antwerp, Belgium, The Kids formed in 1976 to prove to the world that punk was more than just a London vs New York fashion contest. Originally released on the Philips label in 1978, and highly acclaimed as one of the best punk records EVER, The Kids' debut album is now reissued on vinyl, with two bonus tracks recorded in 1977. This is pure and quintessential punk rock. The second release on Radiation Deluxe Series, this classic punk LP is reissued on 180-gram vinyl in a deluxe 350-gram cardboard sleeve.
