Samurai Champloo Music Record: Impression is the fourth soundtrack album in the series of the anime show Samurai Champloo. It contains tracks by Nujabes, Force of Nature, Fat Jon and MINMI. The lyrics on “Hiji Zuru Style” are written and performed by S-Word and Suiken. The lyrics on “Who’s Theme” are written and performed by MINMI; vibraphone is by Yoshihiko Katori.

The music of the Samurai Champloo anime series was created by a group of producers: Japanese hip-hop producer Tsutchie of the rap group Shakkazombie, American hip-hop producer & emcee Fat Jon of the rap group Five Deez, Japanese hip-hop producer Nujabes, and Japanese DJ & production duo Force Of Nature. The music genre is primarily instrumental hip-hop.

Upon release in March 2016, Dark Souls III was critically and commercially successful, with critics calling it a worthy and fitting conclusion to the series. The game’s original score was primarily written by Dark Souls II and Bloodborne composer, Yuka Kitamura, and performed by the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra. Additional music was written by Dark Soulscomposer Motoi Sakuraba, with a single boss theme each by Tsukasa Saitoh and Nobuyoshi Suzuki.

BLEACH (Original Soundtrack) highlights music from the BLEACH anime TV show and films, adaptations to one of the best-selling manga titles of all time, and a much- beloved anime franchise. This release is the only official vinyl product to be released outside of Asia and comprises music from the iconic first two seasons of the TV series.

As with his recent efforts Only Lovers Left Alive and Paterson, the film's score was composed and performed by SQÜRL, the band Jarmusch and producer Carter Logan founded in 2009. Sacred Bones Records, the same label that released the band's EP #260 in 2017, is releasing the LP edition of the score.The score to the The Dead Don't Die is a true expression of where SQÜRL stand at the center of a decade of sonic exploration. It is the culmination of their passion for analog synths, with guitar violence reverberating from the darker corners of Americana. It is at once a tribute to the classic sounds of horror and sci-fi, as well as a decapitation of traditional film scores. It is naturally supernatural.From their arsenal of tools, Jarmusch and Logan pulled electric guitars and basses made by Rick Kelly and Cindy Hulej at Carmine Street Guitars, an acoustic resonator, Moog Minitaur and Theremini synthesizers, Fender Rhodes electric piano, an old Ludwig drum kit, cheap vintage Casio and Yamaha keyboards and new synths from Critter and Guitari _ all sculpted through a collection of effects pedals, notably from Earthquaker Devices.The inspiration for SQÜRL's score for The Dead Don't Die came from some of the most iconic soundtracks of the past half-century of genre cinema _ Tangerine Dream's Sorcerer, Bebe and Louis Barron's Forbidden Planet, Ennio Morricone's The Thing and Once Upon a Time in the West, Goblin's Dawn of the Dead, and all things John Carpenter. The singular Theremin work of Samuel J. Hoffman on films like Spellbound and The Day the Earth Stood Still also made its way into Jarmusch and Logan's consciousness. The result is a new horror soundtrack that stands shoulder to shoulder with the great works of its genre.

Tele Music is a label of Éditions Musicales Sforzando now owned by BMG Production Music. It is entirely devoted to the music library, that is to say, music for sound illustration used in audiovisual productions. Created in 1966 by Roger Tokarz, just before advertising was allowed on French television, Editions Sforzando specialized from the outset in sound illustration for radio and television. This collection, soberly entitled “Volume 2”, is the sequel to “Volume 1”, produced with equal care, passion and fervour by Lord Funk & DJ L.C. In the mid-90s, Tele Music vinyl was sold at ridiculously low prices. Often disparaged by collectors and record shops, considered by some as lift music or vulgarly called “music by the meter”, the music store was only of interest to fans of instrumental music! But in the 2000's, it had a second life and saw its prices soar on Discogs, thanks to sampling and digging in Hip-Hop mainly. This advent of the library is an era that Lord Funk, curator of this compilation, experienced when he brought several music library collections to New York City (nyc) to his A1 Records stronghold in 1997. In this 2nd volume, Lord Funk & DJ L.C. have chosen a range of music from 1969 to 1983, from psychedelic jazz to electro funk via rnb, soul and jazz-funk. Most of the titles in this collection were recorded in the magic place that was the famous CBE recording studio set up by Georges Chatelain, Janine Bisson and Bernard Estardy. Bernard, nicknamed the giant, was a sound genius and a mixing perfectionist. Georges Chatelain was an electronic engineer. Together, they brought a sound, a colour, a trademark. Bernard Estardy was also considered as one of the greatest French sound engineers and an energetic organist for Nino Ferrer or Nancy Holloway. We warmly thank Julie Estardy for her total and unreserved involvement in these reissue and compilation projects. The combination of all these prodigies has given Tele Music a phenomenal and unique sound colour in the service of a sound repertoire that is now part of the French heritage.

Deluxe gatefold 2xLP black Zelda Cinematica Vinyl Edition, produced by Materia Collective.

First ever LP reissue of this ultra-rare Italian soundtrack originaly released on cult CAM label. Gianni Marchetti wrote this beautiful score for the Eurospy filmI Il Magnifico Tony Carrera as he was more of a songwritter than a film composer.
The score includes lots of different atmospheres and arrangements: from fuzzy dark psychedelic themes with harpsichord and haunted choirs (performed by the famous 4 + 4 di Nora O²rlandi) to angelic and dreamy vocal themes. Also contains some tense climax sitar tunes with beautiful bass sound.
Compared to the original CAM LP, this reissue dropped some carnivalesque tracks in order to include some nice unreleased variations of the themes, plus all the suspense cues that were largely removed from the original tracklisting.
Il Magnifico Tony Carrera is definitely a major score of the Italian Silver Age.

Franco Chiari, born in 1927 in Naples, was an eclectic artist who is considered a bit of a wildcard of keyboard instruments: he played the piano, accordion, synthesizer, vibraphone and marimba in both jazz and symphony. For three consecutive years (1957/58/59) he won the National Jazz referendum, was vibraphonist in the national TV Orchestra and participated in numerous important broadcasts. He received many awards in his career, and numerous are the artists who have wanted to play live alongside him, including Lionel Hampton, Stéphane Grappelli, Django Reinhardt, Piero Piccioni, Armando Trovajoli, Lelio Luttazzi, and more.

In this album released in 1973, the most groovy in his career, and now the most wanted from collectors, he rearranges the compositions of Mario Bertolazzi electronically with the use of synthesizer on rhythms ranging from latin beats to funk.

Numbered limited edition with digital downloads included and an amazing cover with splashes of paint, making each copy unique and unrepeatable.

Nine-time Grammy nominee and multi-platinum global superstar Sia's eighth studio album, Music (Songs From And Inspired By The Motion Picture)! This album is comprised of new pop songs from and inspired by her film, Music, including hit singles "Together" and timely call to action track "Courage To Change", that were released in 2020.

Music is an original cinematic experience featuring Maddie Ziegler, Kate Hudson and Leslie Odom Jr. Sia co-wrote the screenplay and directed the movie, making Music her feature film directorial debut.

Winner of the Goldener Bär at the 1963 Berlin Film Festival, "Il Diavolo" is the third feature film by director Gian Luigi Polidoro, an Italian film irregular who has signed only a handful of films poised between comedy and eroticism between the 60s and 80s. Written by Rodolfo Sonego and interpreted by an Alberto Sordi in a state of grace, "Il Diavolo" takes up a theme already addressed by Polidoro and Sonego in "Le Svedesi" of 1960, that is the Italic myth of the Swedish woman and trips to Scandinavia of our unlikely and provincial Latin lovers. A notable success at home and abroad, the film was renamed "To Bed ... or Not To Bed" for the American market and won Alberto Sordi a Golden Globe for best comedy actor in 1964. The soundtrack written by Maestro Piero Piccioni alternates orchestral songs with a romantic flavor, swing era jazz and lounge sketches with a samba twist. Reissued for the first time on vinyl since its release in 1963, the album represents a perfect compendium of Piccioni's style of the early 60s and one of the first peaks of the collaboration with Sordi and Sonego, an artistic and human partnership built to last.

Berto Pisano composed and conducted an OST with a lounge beat and evocative orchestral themes using the wonderfully sexy voice of Edda Dell'Orso, which evoke the sensual / erotic relationship between the adult man and the teen desperate for strong emotions. The main themes are reprised with piano only. The atmosphere of apparent relaxation in the hotel in Ischia is created with pop themes written for Hammond organ and rhythm section. There is also a version with bass flute and a faster version in Bossa tempo. The master tape in stereo of a rare promotional soundtrack album was found in the RCA archives. It was released in 1974 under the label Pegaso and contains almost all the recorded music from the film.

After Franco Micalizzi had written the music for the first Trinity movie and Guido & Maurizio De Angelis for its sequel, the two musician brothers were recruited again to write a new original score that was issued in those days on an LP (Smash SM 901) with 12 tracks and a duration of about 27 minutes and also on a 45 rpm single (Smash SM 6001) with two tracks. We have searched for the original recording session master tapes which were recently rescued in very good condition and in full stereo: this gave us the chance to add six bonus tracks not included in the original vinyl (duration about 41 minutes). A note for collectors and audiophiles: For this ultimate edition we did not use the album master assembled in 1972, but we were able to recreate the original album mock-up's sequence/editing with all the takes taken directly from first generation stereo session tapes. And this new version has a really improved sound quality. The main theme is called "Don't lose control", a romantic-epic theme with country-pop flavour performed by Gene Roman and reprised as an instrumental version played by a large orchestra. The De Angelis brothers have succeded in recreating the whole Western atmosphere by alternating classic Western-flavoured themes with soft ones like the romantic love theme “Tema di Candida" or "Jesus come to my heart", a Gospel with sacred flavour vocalized by the Nora Orlandi choir.

Robby Poitevin (24-10-1926 / 3-10-2003) represents the Italian Film Music school, very close, for its lounge sounds, to that of his American colleagues, such as Lalo Schifrin, Henry Mancini, Quincy Jones and Hugo Montenegro. Other than being an extremely valid arranger and orchestra leader, Maestro Poitevin composed jazz, blues and swing themes, like those for “The hired killer”, which is part of the police and spy current. For this genre, the composer also created other remarkable soundtracks, like “Assassination”, “L’uomo del colpo perfetto”, “Quella carogna dell’ispettore Sterling”, “A.D.3 Operazione squalo bianco”. In 1966 RCA published an LP for the promo series SP (SP 8017), which had nine selections for a total running time of 19:06 minutes. In 2009 GDM Music printed out this OST, for the very first time on CD (gdm 4018), with three extra tracks, pairing it with “Quella carogna dell’ispettore Sterling”. We are reprinting the nine tracks of the original promo LP and, along with the three bonus tracks of the previous GDM’s CD, we are adding four more unpublished tracks, discovered in the original recording session’s mono masters, which bring the total running time of the LP up to 37:04 minutes. Robby Poitevin composed an elegant music, inspired by jazz, blues and American swing, creating calm and mysterious athmospheres as well as pure action ones. Among hired assassins, bullets and homicides there is also a love theme, arranged in different versions such as Bossa and sung by female voice.

Digitmovies releases Guido & Maurizio De Angelis’ “Torso” (aka “I corpi presentano tracce di violenza carnale”) OST on LP. THE Soundtrack In 1973 a 26 minutes-long stereo LP was prepared for RCS’s promo SP series, but it got cancelled and the 45 rpm didn’t see the light, neither. In 1999 BMG printed out a CD (ost 145) with the editing found in RCA’s archives and paired it with a selection from Bruno Nicolai’s “Gatti rossi in un labirinto di vetro” OST. Back in 2008, when we printed the full 33 tracks-long CD version, we mistakenly wrote “stereo” on the cover, but the music actually came from the mono session recorded for the movie. When Dagored printed a double LP (red219c), in 2015, they used our mono CD as source. This LP version (running time 37:20 minutes), carries nine stereo tracks on side A and the first two stereo tracks and the following six mono track on side B. Guido & Maurizio De Angelis composed an OST which was perfect for the scenes but which also has its own life outside of the movie, where a quite cheerful and pop main theme alternates with mysterious and suspended ones, at times with dark and frightening voices. An OST for a cult movie, loved by fans all over the world.

Cox peppers 1984’s Repo Man: Music from the Original Motion Picture with everybody’s L.A.hardcore faves (Black Flag, Circle Jerks, Fear, Suicidal Tendencies, and if you wondering where X is, can you imagine Otto listening to them?), but also throws in a couple of real wild cards in the form of Iggy Pop’s tailor-made “Repo Man,” a trio of absolutely wonderful cuts by the Plugz, and the faux soul howler “Bad Man,” in which Sy Richardson reprises his role as Lite, the baddest and blackest repo man of ‘em all.

The limited edition 7-inch includes a rework of the 1981 soulful disco track "Quale Appuntamento...", written by Bipap, Cristiano Malgioglio & Pino Presti, originally released on the iconic Ricordi label; on the B-side, restored and for the first time ever on vinyl, "Magic", taken from the 1980 original soundtrack of the film "Mia Moglie È Una Strega", with music arranged and directed by Detto Mariano.

From small beginnings in 1974 as a local cinema and university event, Film Fest Gent has grown yearly in stature and is now recognised as one of the major destinations for the film industry.

A vital component is the celebration of film music in the shape of the World Soundtrack Awards which honours the very best composers at work in the world of cinema.

In 2016 the award went to one of the most brilliant composers of his generation, Ryuichi Sakamoto. This is the first overview of his remarkable catalogue of film scores,

fully approved by the composer and performed by the masterful Brussels Philharmonic under the baton of Dirk Brossé. Sakamoto was already a celebrated pioneer in

electronic music and composer/pianist/singer in Japan when director Nagisa Oshima asked him to write the score for Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence in 1983 and also

to star alongside David Bowie. In a 30 year plus career since then he has worked with the cream of film directors including Bernardo Bertolucci (The Last Emperor),

Brian De Palma (Snake Eyes), Pedro Almodovar (High Heels) and most recently Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu (The Revenant).



This compilation is a fitting tribute to his status as one of the greatest living musicians and film composers.

Let the Right One In (Sweden, 2008) is one of the great cult favorites of the current millennium. The magical tale of childhood and vampirism in the suburbs of Stockholm is scored by the director Thomas Alfredson’s fellow countryman, composer Johan Söderqvist.

Svart are proud to present the deluxe vinyl and CD release of Söderqvist’s soundtrack. Combining dark orchestral textures with a strikingly melodic beauty, Johan Söderqvist has written a truly unique score for this critically acclaimed Swedish cult film. The Svart vinyl version comes in a gatefold sleeve with the original movie poster art adorning the sleeve. The inside of the cardboard of this limited edition is flooded with red splatters.

It has been exactly ten years since Finders Keepers Records first liberated Luboš Fišer’s
immaculate soundtrack music for Valerie And Her Week Of Wonders (Valerie A Týden
Divu) from the vaults of the Barrandov Studio in Prague. As the inaugural release of
an ongoing discography of previously unreleased scores from the hugely creative “Film
Miracle” that occurred during and after the Czech New Wave (CNW), this score will always
retain a special place in the heart of the label as well as our listeners who consistently
request an updated repress of this significant vinyl milestone. Having grown in status
from an obscure and misunderstood socialist-era art house oddity, via the hands of
risqué foreign fluff merchants, to finally find its rightful audience as a bona fide surrealist
cinematic masterpiece of world class standards, this 1970 film adaptation of Vítezslav
Nezval’s 1935 avant-garde novella (a film that literally cross-pollinated Max Ernst’s A
Week Of Kindness and Lewis Carols Alice In Wonderland) has garnered widespread
critical acclaim. Inspiring ongoing generations of visual artists, musicians, writers and
filmmakers - all of whom regard this truly individualistic and inimitable surrealist film
poem to be an indelible influence - Valerie continues to impregnate their daily artistic
referential fabric.
Commonly considered to be the swansong of the CNW, following a huge paranoia fuelled
government film cull in 1969, owing to the fact it is last government approved feature film
of the post-Prague Spring era to combine the efforts of controversial filmmakers from
the FAMU (Filmová A Televizní Fakulta Akademie Múzických Umení) film school, Valerie
would also be the first of an exciting and essential new fertile strain of Czech made
cinema fantastique. Successfully condensing the final drops of CNW lifeblood through a
series of presumed apolitical scary/fairy tales, directors like Jaromil Jireš and Juraj Herz
used surrealism, traditionalism and fantasy to rejuvenate the creative energy of apathetic
filmmakers evading government scrutiny via creatively coded artistic allegories. By
strategically choosing to adapt a pre-war surrealist melodrama written by a communist
convert author called Vítezslav Nezval and based in a non-specific traditional era, the
previously censored filmmaker Jaromil Jireš was able to craft what many consider his
finest filmic hour and what would later become his most universally received achievement.
Enlisting the individual talent of some of the CNW’s most formidable stalwarts, in what
might have been their most creatively challenging roles, Jireš managed to unintentionally
establish a new genre format that was both stylistically and sonically tuned to the trends
of the impending decade thus future-proofing his caree
