In the summer of 1978 Eddie Mooney did a demo of "I Bought Three Eggs" in a cellar in the Manchester student house that he was living in. The track was scheduled as a single release on TJM Records in Manchester, who at the time included bands such as Slaughter and the Dogs and Frantic Elevators (featuring Mick Hucknall, later of Simply Red) but the label went bust just as the single came out. Only very few were pressed and the release was chaotic. Now more than 30 years later this hard to get release is officially reissued on the German label Still Unbeatable Records. Both tracks are great melodic Powerpop/Punk song that perfectly fit into the current 77´Punk revival.
