‘Absolute Presence‘ is about losing connection with the physical world and exploring a much deeper place in your mind. It’s about experiencing a significant transformative state from which one can either come back to the physical world, or fade into death. In this enhanced state of consciousness, one may feel entirely weightless, at peace, and removed from their physical body. It’s the feeling of all of existence hitting you at once, and distinct emotions and identifiable feelings fading into irrelevance. How does one approach their day to day life after such an experience? This is what ‘Absolute Presence‘ attempts to address.

The release includes a download code. After 22 light-years Luke Slater’s Planetary Assault Systems keeps exploring space and time with different musical means. Staying true to the project’s initial mission statement, Slater comments on the new yet familiar musical direction: “For me music has to go forward. I’d feel I was cheating by sticking to tried and tested formulas. There’s a valid use for these, but this album has its own agenda.” With Arc Angel, Planetary Assault Systems departs to new musical frontiers by focussing on melody, but staying rooted in the purist values of Techno that Slater shaped over his decades- and generations-spanning career. RP Boo returns with 'The Ultimate RP Boo', showing off six brand new cuts that mix a range of styles with his vivid use of samples and improvised drum programming. 'The Ultimate' kicks things off with a sliding synth riff that wouldn't sound out of place on a '91 Prodigy track with cut up rave vocal interjections over Bu's trademark pulsing bass. 'Bang with the Funk' crushes the 1-2-3-4-5 Sesame Street song, chopping its samples into hard shapes. Things turn dark and minimal with 'The King' which features a sample from Fresh, with strange atonal tones playing off against spooky chords and a tactile bass. On the flipside 'What Am I?' pairs syncopated snares and 4/4 bass pulses while percussion bangs and shimmers over clipped diva refrains and anxious piano. 'Bu'Moon' meshes together some pumping horn blurts and some old fashioned steamy synth wooshes that wouldn't feel out of place on a 50's sci-fi film into a relentless battle track. 'Electric Energy' finishes the EP, sampling an unusual pop source and chopping them over pulsing half time subs that pitch up and down around slipping and sliding drum hits.

Makam returns to Dekmantel Records with his first full-length album for the Amsterdam based label. Guy Blanken’s ongoing search for fresh sounds, textures and rhythms has lead him to “Than Sadet”, a gorgeous piece of work that takes his sound into new directions. “Than Sadet” displays a refinement of Makam’s sound. The music is highly tactile, with an emphasis on the surroundings of the environment in which it was created. Blanken: ‘‘Than Sadet is a secluded beach on an island in Thailand. A mysterious atmosphere haunts it. It’s windy and the weather is always a bit worse compared to the rest of the isle. There are many cliffs and you can’t swim because the waves are too high. Four years ago I visited Than Sadet for the first time and I’ve been coming back ever since. At one point I decided to bring my studio equipment. For a week, I dedicated my days to making music. Those sketches formed the basis of the album.’’ The inspiration on Than Sadet is obvious. From billowing percussion thru windswept strings to passages of strange bird calls, and across desolate tracts of calving synthesizers to a climax with a finale of petrifying thunder drums. The levels of dramatic suspense are ski-high, and mostly downbeat and mid-tempo grooves operate beyond the dancefloor.

The Experience is a project by Andrea Benedetti and Eugenio Vatta released back in 1992. The track "Madcap" was realized during the period of the collaboration of the duo with Lory D'S Sounds Never Seen period and it's an experiment that mix techno, breakbeat and sample extravaganza at its best. The main track "Tubes" was a deep techno monster presented in two versions. One has been recoreded live with Andrea Benedetti managing drum machine and bass, Eugenio Vatta sampling, chords and effects and Paolo Dieni on percussion. The second one has more emphasis on melodies and effects with different equalizations and volumes concerning percussion and drum machine. A lost jewel brought to you by Flash Forward for your pleasure.

Dripping Acid is a series of separate 12"s exploring themes of melodic liquid acid. Part 3 of 6 limited releases by the Tin Man!! -- For Tin Man, acid endures. Like the lapping of a sizzling ocean on the shores of a distant planet, the peaks and troughs of expansive 303 basslines have been a constant in the music of the producer born Johannes Auvinen. He dedicated his mid-2000s early period to the sound, and even as his productions have expanded in scope and style - from the vocaltinged techno of Cool Wave, Wasteland and Perfume, to the intricate, classical-leaning compositions of Vienna Blue - he has returned often to Roland's indelible bass synthesizer. His plaintive, searing melodies have anchored Absurd Recordings' venerable Acid Test series since its first release, and they've punched through the mix in the club music of recent collaborations with Gunnar Haslam (Romans), with Cassegrain, and also with John Tejada. So it wouldn't be accurate to call Tin Man's latest project, Dripping Acid, a rededication. Yet his most ambitious project to date - six 12"s comprised only of new acid compositions - embraces the style as wholeheartedly as he ever has. While the brittle machine-music of '80s Chicago is the blueprint of any acid track, Dripping Acid refrains from revivalism, instead looking forward and inward as it harnesses the 303's psychedelic potential through sumptuous production and adventurous composition. Though it's focused on a single style, Dripping Acid is tremendously diverse, expanding upon the evocative physicality of its track titles ("Evaporated Acid," "Drenched Acid," "Oozing Acid") to rend dancefloors of all shapes and sizes. Tin Man's acid can be exuberant and coy, bleak and technicolor, maximalist and impressionistic, even completely unrecognizable as acid - but as Auvinen stretches the sound to the point of snapping, he shows there's still bend in a decades-old template, and plenty more alien waves to ride.

Barker & Baumecker take Turns from techno, bass, breaks, and experimental terrain with their second album on Ostgut Ton. Sam Barker and Andreas Baumecker’s lives have always revolved around different kinds of music. That’s partly why their productions as Barker & Baumecker are more unpredictable, harder to pin down than what you might expect from a label borne out of a techno club. And while their music is clearly built for dancing, listening to it reveals a deep love and respect for many forms of electronic music – bonding over more experimental dance forms is what brought them together in the first place. Imagining their music at any decent club, but disrupting the flow on the floor is what brings us to their second album Turns. An amalgamation of their unique musical minds, transcending electronic music genres and styles, while further developing and refining the Barker & Baumecker sound aesthetic

Legendary Italian techno label Unrilis, founded by top producer Rino Cerrone and A&R'ed by Luigi Madonna & Roberto Capuano, turns 10 in 2016, and this next EP is the first of many special anniversary releases planned by the label. It comes from acclaimed talent Enrico Sangiuliano and features a stunning remix by Mark Reeve. Enrico Sangiuliano came up through illegal raves and is now a top DJ who plays all over the world and has his music played by the likes of Adam Beyer and Sven Vath. He has had the longest ever running techno number one on Beatport (his remix of 'Can You Hear Me' for DJ Boris on Alleanza) and is one of the best selling artists on the site at any one time. His music comes on Cocoon and Drumcode amongst others, and is powerful, direct stuff for the dance floor. Written entirely in Italy, "X-Pollination (or cross-pollination) is fundamentally the key factor of growth, consciousness and life," says the artist. "It's the way I connect with people, share my passion, fly from one place to another and put many influences and elements into my music." The title track is eight minutes of slow burning but hypnotic techno funk with rolling rubber drums and nervy pads. Frazzled synths add post apocalyptic vibes to this main room anthem and many well crafted peaks and troughs along the way help make it even more standout. It is a real techno classic in the making. Mark Reeve is the UK star who remixes. He has a long history with techno that goes back to the rave scene. Since then his education has taken in trips to techno mecca The Omen, has resulted in music on Cocoon and collabs with Pig & Dan. He has also released on Drumcode and has a big rolling sound that fills the world's finest clubs and warehouses with his unique grooves. His take on the original is more energetic, with searing synths, cantering kicks and a dark energy that makes you pump your fist and stomp the floor. It is full of drama and is perfect balanced from start to finish. This is another fine release in a landmark year for one of techno's most consistent performers.

Genre:Electronic / Dance
The second of this year’s SMD singles on their own Delicacies label is features another two original tracks, leading with the hypnotic, late night techno loping of “Remember In Reverse”, drenched in glistening synths. The second track, “Soft Attack” takes a much more direct approach, with a brash battering of crash cymbals on every 4th bar marking time as a sinuous synth melody curls around the rhythmatic trunk. “Soft Attack (Drum Version)” pares it down even further, excising the melody for a minimal DJ tool. Also included here is a remix of ‘Remember in Reverse” from 90s mid west techno legend, DJ Hyperactive, who we’re super excited to have on this release. He extensive 11 minute rework transforms the track, sprinkling it with subtle doses of acid. After a short hiatus following their modular-only, desert recorded last album “Whorl”, during which SMD's James Ford found himself on production duties for everyone and their dog, SMD are back with bunch of techno cuts on their own Delicacies label.Over a couple of months in Jas Shaw's newly re-located synth-dense studio in leafy Kent, which saw SMD once again experiment with live jams as the basis for their production, they’ve pulled together a selection of eight tracks for release as a series of four singles over the coming months.SMD fans will note that the earlier naming convention of Delicacies has fallen by the wayside – for the simple reason that we’ve pretty much run out of weird and wonderful food stuffs to steal names from. Instead, a semi-random automated process has been used to create the track names.

Next up for the brand new DKMNTL UFO series is Rohan Walder aka Randomer, who has been causing a stir with his uncompromising, bass heavy cuts on labels like Clone, L.I.E.S., Hemlock and Numbers. The Londoner graces our new platform with his signature sound that blurs the lines between big boned techno, sizzling side-step house and Afro-inspired drum programing. Delivering a four-tracker that’s a highly energetic and confident outburst of a unique electronic music soul, Randomer properly handles the abstract sound esthetics of DKMNTL UFO.

Killer nexus of D&B-informed techno rolige and dark ambient themes. This is Simon Shreeves’ eponymous debut, following sterling work as Mønic and half of Kryptic Minds.Healing Bowl forms a timely collusion between an artist and label who’ve been converging on a mutual mesh of gutted D&B dynamics with techno tempos and dark ambient feels for some time now. It forms Simon Shreeves’ debut release under his birth name after more than a decade of releases as part of Kryptic Minds, and more recently his techno-leaning solo output as Mønic for Tresor.A match made in techno purgatory then, Healing Bowl metes out five pensile, nerve-pinched pieces defined by finely sculpted bass, shivering percussion and cranky concrète processing. Never showy, but with a nuanced atmospheric elegance and appreciation of proper body mechanics for the ‘floor or bedroom.A/SA falls down the trapdoor first with plummeting subs and spanked spring reverbs setting a crypt-like tone and spatial setting which bleeds thru into the title cut’s rolling swagger and strafing, daemonic silhouettes, before A Thousand and One locates and locks into a dank pocket of plasmic bass and spectral vocal recital.Sharada follows with a ghostlier, eldritch pallor of melodic development giving rise to sepulchral harmonics amidst fizzing, prickly percussion and elliptic sub bass curves, yet the EP’s strongest dancefloor cut is saved for last with the elusive, entropic sound design of S/KA seeming to invert techno and D&B dynamics with vampiric lust and romance.Shreeve has evidently found an empathetic and steadfast partner in Downwards. Here’s to a lasting relationship.

A stone scorcher of an EP to put alongside his classic Aquaplanos with Donato Dozzy, from nearly ten years ago. Four contrasting, deeply atmospheric stages in longing — swingeing and propulsive to blissed-out and bittersweet. Terse but charged; hypnotic, never bludgeoning; soulful and warmly crafted, never mechanical. Says Nuel — ‘Unveiled consists of live recordings made on the same great day: 03/10/2015. The inspiration comes from a woman, the record is my reaction to something she unveiled. The record is about really strong feelings, relationships and mental projections… a sexy record for me. After that recording session I found these tracks so appealing that I decided to keep them in that form, a document of that day.’

Following critically acclaimed releases from Eduardo De La Calle, Refracted, and Monomood, Connwax returns with another exceptional offering of bold and original techno. For this release, they have enlisted the help of a rising young talent in Berlin's underground scene: Akme. The producer and resident DJ of renowned club ://about blank demonstrates his uncommon technical precision and emotional depth with this debut EP, drawing on his vast array of influences and experiences across all genres. In "Elements", the bass drum takes centre stage. The engine room relentlessly driving everything forward. Yet as the track develops, a fine lattice work of detail starts to unfold. Meticulous percussive elements imbue the piece with an enigmatic depth as a sombre melody sweeps through the rough rhythmic landscape. We are allowed a brief moment to reflect before the bass drum continues its inexorable path forward. Akme takes a more reduced approach in "Black Matter". Space is left for the interplay between the understated acid bassline and delicate hi-hats to lock the track into a hypnotic groove. Here, the statement is defined by what is left unsaid.

Unreleased mixes, classics and overlooked gems mined from the last 20+ of contemporary dance music are the order of the day. From Chicago, Detroit and New York to London and beyond, Mint Condition have got their expert digging hats on to bring you exclusive heat and those rarer than rare jams that have been on your wants list for years! Dig in....Arthur Forests name should be more widely known in the world of dance music, the man lent his expert to touch to more than one classic record emanating from Detroit during his time and has quietly left an indelible fingerprint on House and Techno history. Here at Mint Condition and for our third release we are extremely proud to present one of Art Forest's (in our opinion) finest moments - The majestic, futuristic 'Expectations' EP. Released in 1992, this 4 track EP has always been sought after by Detroit lovers worldwide. Often very difficult to track down and commanding high prices on the second hand market, this 12" is a real rarity. Showcasing a style that stands out from a lot of records released around the same period "Expectations" still sounds so killer today. Listen to "Flow with me" on the b-side, an insanely deep, melancholic piece of Detroit house, steeped in motor city futurism (those synth pads!) and with an otherworldly vocal performance from Dan Carter it ticks all the boxes, absolutely sublime and worth the admission fee here alone. Stunning. If you're up to your neck in the history of Detroit dance music, or if you've literally just stumbled upon this entire world of amazing music (Welcome!) you'll want a piece of this. Beautifully crafted deepness from a quiet master of the artform, what's not to dig? Clap

Release:2017 / EU – Original
Genre:Electronic / Dance
Fresh from guesting on the debut Powell LP ‘Sport’ (XL Recordings), and having released on labels such as The Tapeworm, Entr’acte, and Halcyon Veil, Dale Cornish now presents ‘Clap’ - four rhythmic experiments that explore the mesmeric tones of the digital clap using the ever-popular TR909 clap pre-set. Sharing similarities in intention with N.M.O’s “as strict as possible” approach, pieces subtly evolve and mutate around the clap to generate motion, tension and action. ‘Oolovka’ takes an unashamedly joyous look at the clap, where melodic repetition whirls and whirls until it takes on a form of mesmerising minimalism – perhaps taking its cues from a modern take on Steve Reich’s ‘Music for 18 musicians’ as a backdrop for the clap to playfully roll over and mutate into a sound which is both refreshingly light hearted yet steeped in rhythmic experimentation. ‘Cxema’ takes us a into a tenser, more claustrophobic space where a heads down pulse keeps the body locked until the fog is occasionally broken and the tension momentarily cleared via delayed claps and familiar sonar tones. This vibe continues into ‘Isolate’ with Cornish upping the anxiety by using the clap as a foreboding menace. Coming across like an inspired soundtrack to a military performance piece the concern appears to revolve around strict precision and strict movement and how the clap can be used to enforce and heighten this functional display. ‘Before Encore’ winds things down by stripping things back to the bare minimum for movement – a single effected clap gradually layers and layers itself to create pleasingly odd high tension atmospherics solely through a meticulous process of delicate rhythm and repetition.

His first proposal "Unsynchronized Movement" has three tracks created in 2014 (the year in which this formation is born) and representing the mutation that has been his personal vision of techno, without renouncing its essence purely underground. Gravity Disturbance finds its place in the production and makes the leap to the scene, where they have much to contribute.

Closely following the release of her critically acclaimed album ‘Valor', trained musician Dinky releases the second single from the album on Crosstown Rebels. The stunning ‘Slowly' also gets the remix treatment from fellow Panorama Bar favorites and Berliners Matthew Styles and Radio Slave.‘Slowly', like most of the tracks on the album is centered around Dinky's illustrious vocals. Resident Advisor said of the vocals "[I can see that I'm losing you slowly] is as poignant as the song's fragile piano”Matthew Styles is a highly respected DJ and producer who as the first label manager of Crosstown Rebels has since made his way as a producer in his own right releasing on the likes of Ostgut Ton and his own Running Back that he runs with Gerd Janson. His remix takes the song to euphoric heights with it's infectious bassline and impressive disposition. Dinky reveals that "Matthew knew the song and its meaning so well that he captured its spirit perfectly.”Matt Edwards aka Radio Slave is also back on the label since his highly celebrated remix of Aphrohead last year. Owner of Rekids, Matt recently released ‘Vision', which celebrated ten years of the label. Here for his first remix he delivers a pulsating beast, intricate in its ethereal chords and vocals. For his second remix he conjures a stripped down, minimalistic version with broken percussion and fervid synths for a beautiful and compelling effect.

Earlier this year, Subwax Bcn made an important contribution to the electronic music community by having the timeless dub techno compilation Vibrant Forms II by Fluxion remastered and reissued. First released in the year 2000 on Chain Reaction, Vibrant Forms II is widely considered to be one of the greatest achievements in the genre. As it turned out, Vibrant Forms II became one of the last records to be released on Mark Ernestus and Moritz von Oswald’s classic label – a suitable swan song if there ever was one. And that’s it, right? Well not quite. If one would search for Fluxion - Vibrant Forms III, Discogs would come up empty and Google would treat it as a misspelling. Until now. Konstantinos Soublis, aka Fluxion, and Subwax Bcn have decided to pick up the banner and release Vibrant Forms III as a CD as well as four individual 12” records under 2016. It contains everything you could hope for and more: The massive, booming basses, the clicks and hisses, the atmospheric thunderstorms, the opium smoke-scented streaks of reverb and dub echoes. The warmth. Yes, above all else the warmth: Sometimes moist and dripping as in Safe Harbour, sometimes blisteringly dry as in Variant. It’s no easy task, giving cold, dead machines warm breaths. And no-one quite does it like Fluxion.

For anyone following Cut & Paste Records' output for the past few years their latest release may seem totally out of the ordinary after 6 scratch records in a row and now some kind of futuristic techno? But the label’s intention always is to shake up the scratch world, and this record is made by and for turntablists as much as it is a stand-alone musical EP. Krayb David was born out of the now-legendary Community Skratch Games which, for the past 10 years, have offered an alternative to the tired formats of most international turntablism shows and competitions. „Eggship Me Please-Tales From The Eggship EP” sounds like the music for a computer game, and we are told it documents the interstellar voyages of Krayb David as he drifts through space and time. Each track corresponds to a part of his absurd journey, with the 2 remixes perhaps representing alternative realities as Krayb's perception distorts and fractures as a consequence of his time-travel habit. Tempo, rhythm, atmosphere and texture all change throughout the EP, with some tunes drifting wildly from one style to the next. His recent tracks demonstrated some of Krayb's style at slower tempos, while this EP takes thing up to the electro/techno speed for the most part, then winds down to sub-50bpm territory with the aid of a remix by Valance Drakes. Another Remix from The Person sounds like a tune The Prodigy would have made if they were kidnapped by space crabs in their early years and returned to earth 20 years later irradiated and dehydrated from space travel. While the whole journey is fast and confusing, it invites the listener to follow along and then continue beyond – which is why the artist also hid some exclusive skip-proof scratch sentences on the record, along with an ambient and never-ending interlude that ends on a lock groove. These bonus tracks are only on the vinyl release. It’s a matter of fact, that this guy obviously has an obsession for eggs and crabs but also for nothing else but well-crafted analogue and machine made music. TIP!

This package, that bundles 3 copious originals also comes with an audacious ''Tripeo'' remix. The Den Bosch based producer opens up with the title track ''10th Planet'' which serves as a enthusiastic opening track that could easily be utilised in any kind of club situation. Planet Moria (A2) is a more psychotic twist on early Techno. The synthesis in this cut hint to the hay days of the Rotterdam sound for which of course Self Reflektion should be a warm home. Tripeo opens up the B side with his take on ''Planet Moria'' taking the work out of it's original context and cleverly moulding it into an adventurous club joint which is lead by original percussion bits and firm drum action.''Remco Beekwilder'' closes down REFLEKT008 with the stomper ''Irregular Acid''. An intrusive Techno cut for the more intense club moments.

This is the offical 2016 Repress. 12 years on from it's original release - this absolute classic rises again from Newworldaquarium in Ross 154 mode. The second release on the M>O>S record label could have been part of Hollands rich techno-history, if released when the tracks where made. Dating back as early as 1993, these two tracks come straight out of a plastic bag full of SA90 tapes in Ross154s bathroom (thats where he plays his music loud) and a card-board box filled with cassettes rediscovered while moving Aroy Dee into his way too expen-sive spacious loft in the historical centre of Amsterdam. It took some effort to polish these tracks so they could be released. “Until my heart stops”is probably the older of the two tracks, and has survived the humid environment of the mystical washing facilities rather well. I guess he likes to shower long, but never too long. “Kaoz” is a small part of the now infamous My Old Piano sessions at the hangout of Haarlem DJ-collective Kaoz Connection, which where heavily inspired by KLF, The Orb and J-J-J-jack fever. Named after the always-present Diana Ross evergreen My Old Piano on 33rpm these sets they were a pretty mad mix of live elec-tronics and odd tunes, and always ended in either a neighbourhood riot or a civilized police-request. Unfortunately most of these sets are lost forever, but somehow someone managed to press record while the 154 was doing some serious knob twisting. Finally these great tunes will be available again from now.

In much the same manner that ‘Lost’ built on from the somber cinematic classic that was ‘Into The Great Wide Yonder’, ‘Fixion’ has embraced the Danish artist’s trademark melancholy and matured it into something uniquely atmospheric and darkly romantic

Paul Woolford returns to Hotflush with ‘Mother & Child’, his third solo outing on the label following the inescapable anthems, ‘Untitled’ and ‘MDMA’.‘Mother & Child’ sees Woolford explore a different style and more cultivated mood. Comprised of two variations on a theme, the lead cut combines both sostenuto and clipped strings in an overarching and evolving melody. There’s a sense of menace and foreboding, yet the record’s heart belongs, as ever, strongly to Woolford’s home turf - the dance floor. This newfound contemplative air is brought to the fore on ‘Mother & Child Divided' as he strips back all rhythmic elements to leave a beautifully sprawling tapestry of strings and synths; alluring, dramatic and cinematic in scope. One hopes this mother and child find each other again...

HVNX is a new Hivern sub-label focused in concept EP's and mini- albums from artists in the label's orbit. The series will be a platform for more adventurous sounds, with a special accent in techno and hard- ware jams. Every release will include a photocopied inlay with a mood board of the artists’ inspiration for that release. Bep Kororoti is a mythical ancient astronaut worshipped by the tribes of the Amazon Jungle. It's also the name chosen by Alejandro Rodri?- guez aka Kresy for his new side project. The music on this 12” mostly comes from hardware live jams recorded in one take, which translates into the primal energy of the tracks. Constructed around raw drums, decayed tones, corroded synths, acid bursts, ritualistic chants and an overall toxic haze, it's music that sounds primitive, menacing and intri- guing all at once. Just as the tales of ancestral visitors from outer space that inspired it. All the releases of the series will come wrapped in a special sleeve designed by Hivern's in-house designer Arnau Pi.

The spirit of US house genres raises it's head once again, fuelled by a raw, scorched-earth production aesthetic coming from the deepest lair of the Italian producer. Expect hyper-filtered acid techno, crunching drum-work and heaving, bleeping beatdowns.

After releasing a string of Various Artist 12"s La Peña is a regular in any favourite DJ’s record bag. Now it’s time for the next step."After all these Various Artist EP’s i wanted to focus on one artist at a time that would allow them to really show a spectrum as broad as possible. How people consume music changed in last 30 years. When i got into music in the first place it was all about the album. The full package with cover, artwork, side notes. I want to bring back that feeling in terms of programming, artwork and listening pleasure. Following the tradition of my favourite rap LP’s the tracks are all connected with skits and interludes for a full listening experience. It’s dance floor material, but the LP feel of it makes it great for home listening as well.I am really happy to kickstart this with Fabe. I got introduced to him by a friend a few years ago and it´s crazy how this guys turns up from track to track. I think this is his strongest release so far as he really shows what he is capable of in terms of style. Super happy to have him onboard as he is one of loveliest guys around as well. Salut Fabe !!! Life is Audio !!” - Einzelkind.

Brixton collective Dream Diary add to a slick catalogue that’s included Afriqua, Tom Gillieron & Richie Littler with an EP from fresh signee Ruven. The NY producer’s debut on Dream Diary follows a year-long hiatus in Chile and channels a Romanian sound palette in providing a refined, elastic ode to early 2000s Hip Hop. ‘Pour’ kicks things off with sharp, Villalobos-esque drums and a dense, propulsive sub bass. Sultry vocal snippets and soft keys bleed into the mix evincing Ruven’s background in instrumental performance before ‘Jusamin’ follows up with immaculate sound design and deftly controlled dynamics that work to extract power from very few elements. Warped, trippy signals pan left to right atop a tight, arresting groove as he caps off another fine addition to Dream Diary’s developing catalogue of confident, sophisticated dance music.

Fragil Musique reaches the 20th release mark, and offers us a very special debut EP from a newcomer to watch. Vidock lands on the label with an unusual three tracker, oscillating between intense breakbeat excursions and moody Techno hybrids. "Dub Attack" is the main club weapon here. Cycling around the drum loop, pads and samples build up to heavy tension moments, then fade away to fully unleash the force of the stripped down broken kick-bass groove. The pressure is strong and never stops rising, gradually bringing the dancer to a manic arms-shaking state, while sporadic laser synth shots and percussion hints sprinkle the track, smartly shaping its three-dimensional aspect. On the B Side, dance music UFO "Metamorph" is an epic journey through what feels like unexplored fringes of sample driven emotional dance music. Movie-esque haunting voices and disturbing sirens set the vibe, inviting one to drift along this dark and coloured ride. Fellow Nantes native Simo Cell goes trippy on the remix, taking apart the most heady bits of the original and extending them into a deep and breaky piece.

Steinzeit concludes the MRT grey series. The duo is comprised of Hansruedi Schn¸riger, one half of Echo 106, and Bjorn Magnusson. They recorded these three tracks in a weekend’s time inside Magnusson studio, which is an abandoned factory in the middle of nowhere, in Switzerland, using bare concrete walls as an echo chamber. The pace is slow, atmosphere is bleak, tone is melancholic, drums are evil. It reflects how Switzerland feels in winter. Lonely, and this is true, like the name of the tracks.

The A side is dominated by two floor ready cuts, lurching thumper FEART and a devastatingly broken remix by Serbian producer Scalameriya. Side B trips into leftfield territory with sleep deprived creeper Peripheral Visions. The Serbian connection continues with LAG delivering an offkilter franticly driving reworking of the original.
