After the great success of their debut album in 2021 the Brazilian duo Xique-Xique asked some of their friends to remix their favorite tracks of the album. The result is a superb collection of remixes by heavyweight artists of the scene: On the 12“, you will find Zoe Reijue, Mira & Chris Schwarzwälder, Dengue Dengue Dengue, Niko Schwind and Psilosamples, while the digital package includes two marvelous exclusives by Oliver Koletzki, Nutia and Batu Ozer.

Ranging from groovy downtempo to quirky electronica and solid rave vibes, this wild bunch of tracks constitutes a fabulous remix album for all the moments at the club. Get your floaties ready to ride the vortex of „Na Lagoa – Remixed“.

The Magic Movement marks its twenty-fifth release this May with Coss & Luca Musto's 'Remind Me Tomorrow' EP, comprised of three originals from the Berlin-based pair and a remix from label boss Noema. Coss has been a mainstay at Berlin's Kater Blau club for some time now and just recently delivered an EP on the club's in-house imprint Kiosk ID as well as an EP for his own metanoia. Italian rooted but Germany-based Luca Musto returns to the Magic Movement here following his 2018 'Parabel' EP and has since gone on to release further material with Cologne's Feines Tier and Laut & Luise in recent years. Here joining forces with the 'Remind Me Tomorrow' EP the two artists deliver more of their distinctive tripped-out, dropped tempo club sound. 'Broken Promises' leads the way via dreamy dubbed out textures, gnarly bass tones, twinkling chimes and airy arpeggios atop a bumpy drum groove. Title cut 'Remind Me Tomorrow' follows and brings modulating resonant synth lines into the forefront alongside elongated subs, cinematic pads, and circling sequences while Luca also stirs in his own rap/spoken word hip house style vocals. The third original 'Concept Zero' follows next and lays down psychedelic guitars, choppy stabs, murky bass swells and dynamic delays before Noema rounds out the release with his take on 'Remind Me Tomorrow', flipping the switch to raw, crunchy drums and spoken word vocal chants amongst the original's chuggy arps and dreamy melodic elements.

Salon des Amateurs resident Tolouse Low Trax delivers the ‚Knights & Wheels Remix’ in his signature style: While a hypnotic vocal loop hooks you up from the very beginning, minimalistic and dreamy synths slowly submerge the listener into a jam of stripped-down Lo-Fi funk.

The ‘Beat Mix’ by Rio de Janeiro’ sound wizard Carrot Green and long time family member of label, speeds up the tempo, and puts together a groove of classic electro boogie vibes with a P-Funky bassline that sounds like a futuristic liaison between Afrika Bambaataa and George Clinton.

Increasing the UK house vibe with strong drums and a wobbly bassline, Noema’s ‘Acid Ghetto Style Remix’ works the mysterious vocals of Anatta into a delicious hook and creates a highly animating and fun dancefloor monster.
