Thorens Turntables 5 Items
Swiss company Thorens was founded in 1883 to produce early music boxes and predecessors of audio players. In 1903, Thorens started with the production of Edison phonograph, and in 1937, engineer Edouard Thorens developed the first turntable that was named after him. Nowadays, Thorens is known for high-end components of entertainment technology, especially turntables. A very special highlight of the brand’s range is the Thorens series 1600 that included updated versions of the TD 50 and TD 160 turntables – a stable sub-chassis, elaborate engine control and a precise tone arm are responsible for an excellent sound experience. The Thorens TD 1601 also offers enhanced operating comfort, thanks to electric lift function and non-contact switch-off.
