Vitalik continue their vinyl Gold Series with another gold standard release. For the forthcoming VITNYL003 Clive Henry drops a fifteen minute long opus on a single sided limited edition vinyl.'My Fifteen Minutes of Fame' is contrastingly raw in it's production and sublime in composition. It's gentle meandering melodies float over a warm bed of muted pads and analogue bass. Recorded as a live jam and stripped down to its constituent parts its melodies take centre stage, enthralling the listener into what can be best described as an acid house lullaby and what has already been penned as an instant balearic classic.'My Fifteen Minutes of Fame' was engineered by Rui Da Silva and is the former Peace Division front man's first solo release since his illustrious studio partnership with Justin Drake, he joins artists such as Jimmy Edgar, The Mole, Franklin De Costa and Anonym on the vinyl only Vitalik offshoot.

Dedicated purveyors of fine house music, System of Survival are Pietro 'Bingo' De Lisi and Alex Carpentieri, resident DJs at the bastion of underground Ibiza, Circo Loco, since the party first began over decade ago. S.O.S's musical output has been particularly prolific of late, releasing on labels such as Bpitch, Freak'n'Chic, Tenax and Akbal, however it is this their debut release on Ibiza imprint Vitalik Recordings that has perhaps been the most anticipated. The delayed strings and commanding bass-line builds tension from the offset, the tough beats of Rumors highlight the darker, dance-floor territory we find in S.O.S's dj sets but less commonly in their studio production. Heads down, late night boogie business at it's finest. Labirintismo's ethereal panning melodies drift over solid beats and a warm offbeat bass-line. Reminiscent of early Peace Frog material, it's dreamy electric piano riff's contrast pleasingly against its rugged foundations. S.O.S. illustrate their knack for unusual and catchy bass-lines on Beat Jam, their melodies always answering the questions posed by their B-lines. The cheeky vocal sample sits neatly over sparse but precisely placed percussion, less as they say is more. A Man Black Man with it's beautiful grand piano keys and tribal percussion, full of the duo's nuances, rounds off the EP in style, an eclectic mix of Bingo's funk & soul roots and Alex's Detroit and Chicago influences.
Sam Russo - Vanishing Test EP

Vitalik Recordings welcomes Sam Russo to the ranks with the rather fantastic Vanishing Test EP. Sam's production skills defy his years, his style defined and his sound signature. His trained ears have been sought after by the likes of Craig Richards, Matt Tolfrey and Huxley in recent studio collaborations. His music is non-categorical genre speaking however his influences permeate his music, dub and bass play key roles, darkness and light coexist in a dynamic juxtaposition, bright expansive pads soar over rumbling kicks and moody bass lines. Enlisting another protagonist of the next wave of UK underground producers, Jordan Peak delivers a low slung, industrial feeling number aimed squarely at the floor, his trademark snappy percussion and body moving bassline make this cut somewhat of a weapon. Finally MRSK rounds off the EP with (for want of a better description) a peak time banger. Sharing the production values of collaborators and friends Skudge, similarly MRSK manages to attain an unsurpassed clarity and magnitude of sound in his productions, this is no less evident in this remix, this remix is BIG.
