Time to welcome back Ben Sun to DOG following his 2012 debut with us, the Love Momentum EP which had the likes of Gerd, Soul Clap and Red Rackem salivating nicely. The London based , Australian born producer is one of a handful of talented and exciting young antipodeans creating a buzz right now alongside the likes of Tornado Wallace, Frank Booker and Fantastic Man to name a few. With just a handful of releases and remixes appearing on esteemed labels such as Royal Oak, Quintessentials and his own Voyeurhythm labels it?s clear that Ben?s happy to put the groundwork in and focus on quality over quantity. With an uncompromising focus on House and Techno, Eye Shadow is a label set up to showcase artists with a link to the North East of England. Run by The Cleer Consortium, the label aims to bring a spotlight over Newcastle Upon Tyne and the surrounding postcodes of Middlesbrough to Sunderland and beyond.
The Cleer Consortium met through the Cleer club nights, which inspired the collective to start a label and collaborate in the studio. Consisting of Suade, Clarke Sawkill, William Welt, and Binni, the four each bring something different to the table.

At the center of Dadub's Sa020 lie the myths of the ancient Greek goddess Demeter. The opening track is 'Mistresses March', an odyssey, unhappy and unflinching, a thumping narrative of Demeter's search for her abducted daughter Persephone. Based on the handmade modular synth system from Nicola Buono and Lino Monaco, the representation of ceremony drink 'Kykeon' is on one hand a flowing narrative and on the other a demonstration of intense artistic scrutiny: a perfect, unremitting thud. Little details, significant differences. Powered by a sound and groove generator invented by Daniele de Santis (Grün), 'Ergot Kernel' is a chemical cauldron. It's a beat continuously emerging from the undergrowth; a train ploughing on, coursing through an arid landscape. Conversely, the atmosphere is bright, full of electricity and warmth. Dadub's Sa020 is a journey through a Greek myth, with textural magnificence and technological innovation.

Once in a while I hear music from a new talent which I feel is consistently great and at a high production-level. Allan Feytor is one of those producers. Allan has been super creative in 2020 and together we handpicked 4 tracks which complimented each other and felt sounded for Noir Music. rush2theUnknown is a project born in pandemic-era provincial New Zealand, developed in the hills of Izu Peninsula, Japan, but forged in the fire of potent teenage memories — the flames of the future sounds of jungle and drum 'n' bass that exploded onto dance floors across the urban centres of New Zealand in the mid 90's. Two old friends, both who played pivotal roles in the development of New Zealand's own jungle and drum 'n' bass scenes in the 1990s, estranged for decades, reunited amidst the isolation and chaos of covid. They began an experiment, attempting to recapture the feeling of having their heads overwhelmed by sounds they couldn't quite comprehend as adolescents — in particular, channeling the energy, spirit, and vibe of 1995 to 1997, where the ever-mutating evolution of jungle intersected with the dawning of drum 'n' bass to create a utopian future vision, before the latter genre changed course and moved increasingly darker.

By weaving in the influences that these two long-lost friends had accumulated over the decades, most notably from ambient, kankyõ ongaku, new age, minimalism, and some of the deepest research into the history of Japanese video game music ever conducted, the pair attempt to discover new terrain from an specific era of dance music that was never fully explored.

As a true lemma it both stands on its own and supports the larger theorem: to explore bass heavy music across a span of tempos and time signatures. Lemma2 goes deeper into the ideas presented in Lemma1, this time drawing inspiration from DnB, Dubstep, and Footwork. The result being a collection of sprawling 160bpm polyrhythmic rollers.

Side A ventures into sound design, mangling field recordings collected on travels far and beyond into almost unrecognizable shapes.

Side B takes on a more percussive tip, driving for the dance floor with some stepping d&b-not-d&b business and footwork interpretations.

Agents Of Time are back on Afterlife with the Midnight Drive In Santiago EP, following their debut Forest Of Lies in 2018. Known for their distinct, synth-driven take on electronic music, the duo showcase their production prowess with four tracks that demonstrate their ability to tap into your emotional centre with varying styles.

Non series welcomes Nastia Reigel for her first release on the label

As we head towards the end of 2019, the CoOp Presents crew unleash a heater for the cold months, and a very warm welcome to the label for Danvers, with an EP entitled 'Light Movements'.
Joe Danvers has been building a diverse catalogue of dance music over the past several years, including releases on FINA Records, Boogie Cafe and Wotnot (his debut release also featured mixes from the likes of Joe Armon-Jones & Warren Xcince). Aside from his solo efforts, Danvers makes up 50% of Kassian, who in turn have dropped releases on Phonica White & Heist Recordings, as well as a series of highly-acclaimed remixes. Their debut track 'The Premise' was nominated as "Track of the Year" at Gilles Peterson's Worldwide Awards.
These various projects have been shown support far and wide from selectors such as Bradley Zero and Detroit Swindle, whilst Danvers & Kassian have been booked for parties across Europe this past Summer. Danvers is also co-founder of Curve Records, along with Luke Campion & Mike Wilkin of Fact / Vinyl Factory.
So to the EP - 4-tracks demonstrating Danvers' flair for eclectic bruk boogie. 'Devotional' kicks off the set, featuring the soulful vocals of Natalie May atop a rhode-laden bubbler. The EP's title track 'Light Movements' follows and is a more stripped-down affair, with big kicks and synth stabs. Next comes 'The Flex', inspired by Selectors Assemble runnings - a tasty stepper with a huuuuge b-line. Finally closing out the EP on a deeper jazzy vibe we have 'Calmer' featuring the don T. Williams.
Expect more big things from Danvers and from the CoOp Presents crew in 2020. In the meantime, get this one on your speakers and watch for the movements. Standardly essential business.

Jos & Eli might seem unknown to many electronic music lovers but they have been releasing great music since 2013. Presenting Corollary1, the first release in a new remix series flipping cuts from O.M.Theorem’s Lemma projects.

For this one we invited good friends DJ Sotofett and Ossia. Regular conspirators in bacalao and dosa dinners, monthly hangouts at Globus-Tresor and sound system parties in Milano & Bristol. Through appreciation of similar frequencies and shared experiences, friendships grow. It felt natural to invite the two to do remixes for us. One evening we bumped into them on the dancefloor during a live concert by Senegalese percussion outfit Ndagga Rhythm. This was a sign. BAM! The EP came alive.

On the A-side, we hear two fresh takes on Lemma1-B2. DJ Sotofett with his dub heavy output on Honest Jon's and Sex Tags Amfibia invites Ghanese Afro-Dub drummer Ekowmania for vocals and usual collaborator LNS for keyboard work on his sub-deep club-stepping colourful remix. We bet the infectious vocals will linger in your mind for a long time. Play it LOUD for full sub bass effect! The second interpretation of the same track is from O.M.Theorem. A techy dubstep banger, this one!

On the B side, Bristol and Peng! Sound's Ossia picked his favorite Lemma1-B1 and drove the mixing desk in true Dub-style fashion with a classic riddim that meets an avant garde melody going in and out of the mix. This is a remix that deserves attention, with every listen revealing new layers and details. Even the premasters sounded phat as a greasy hamburger on the German capital’s legendary Super Power Soundsystem! The second interpretation is from O.M.Theorem, rebuilding percussion and bass from Lemma1-A1. Liberating himself from all restrictions the result is a footwork-reminiscent 160 cut, ready for the dance floor.

The alis of a UK techno producer, San returns to Rua Sound with another statement of intent - "no other junglist delivers this power".
San was born out of the clear necessity for jungle futurism, breakbeat terrorism and hardcore sub bass gangsterism.
The illusive producer's second record on the label is a masterclass in dark jungle choppage dripping with futurism and dread. Fans of Source Direct take note.

After Dandara was already featured on the ‘5 Jahre Bunte Kuh‘ compilation, he now presents his first EP on Bunte Kuh. The EP ‚Sayo‘ comes with four original tracks. Olivan and Chakib Bouzidi have contributed to one track each. The title track ‘Sayo‘ is characterized by soft beats and light sounds. It captivates with guitar and vocals. Home ‘Again‘ has a driving effect, clear sounds and invites you to move to the beats. ‘About You‘ - Opens a dark abyss with churning bass and elegant beats. Makes you want to sink into this track. ‘Miracle Cure‘ - With light, buzzing sounds and clear beats this track conjures up a wonderful lightness.

Pleasant Systems is back with its 4th installment „Time Unlimited“ from Budapest based Pleasure Voyage with special remixes from Tilman. The duo provides us a blissful journey through the most uplifting corners of house, making stops along the way at Italo, Balearic and ambient house. Whilst the jubilant opening track „Feels So Right“ set the tone for the release with a feel-good dancefloor banger, „Portraits Of Us“ and „Seashell Island“ are driven by deep dreamy pads and synth melodies with intricately crafted and richly layered soundscapes.

With the two-part EP Mediterranean Dreams, Perugia producer and composer Feel Fly revisits his musical roots and pays tribute to the sounds and ‘sun-kissed nostalgia’ that informed his style. Mediterranean Dreams Part 1 collected four tracks, and added that Feel Fly touch of emotive chord progressions and layered production onto cosmic disco grooves to powerful dancefloor effect. Now with Mediterranean Dream Part 2, Feel Fly switches the tempo both up and down, to fully demonstrate his affinity for club moments of all shapes and sizes. Nebula flies out the gate with full intent, recalling classic Detroit techno while pushing the vibe even more wide-screen - it’s driving, melodic dance music that delivers on the fine details as much as it does on the life-affirming, big picture sentiment. Optical Bells opens in meditative style, not unlike a new dawn in a Tibetan monastery, before each element of the track slowly reveals itself and assumes its place. It’s an arrangement technique that Feel Fly employs masterfully, and gives the impression of a camera lens moving into focus, or a storyteller setting the scene. The revolving chord changes pull you in and while whisking you away, you’re compelled to engage with the moment - like being asked to dance by a mysterious stranger. The B side kicks off with Luce Eterna Ai Sognatori, still keeping the tempo high while cherry-picking disco house drum patterns and piano synths with a slight Italo flavor to create an irresistible slice of dancefloor dessert. This is a soundtrack for Sognatori, in whose dreams anything is possible. The EP finishes up with a superb cut of echoey balearic dub in the form of Templum Dub. Putting the drums through its mixing desk paces, Feel Fly reanimates the drum kit with delays, phasers and flangers, and wraps it up in hazy drifting pads that could accompany any moment of contemplation - from that morning espresso to a midnight phone call. Mediterranean Dreams Part 2 acts as the perfect compliment to its prequel Part 1, and shows a producer at the height of his powers, reimagining his musical roots and composing a love letter to the sounds and stories of his youth.

Yep people, you’ve got us right. While many of us are still looking for traces of lizard people wandering over a flat earth, your favourite producer’s favourite producer has already boarded his space vehicle in the direction of moon, closely observing our mediocre attempts to enrich our earthly existence. Magician Jichael Mackson opens his bag, presenting the signature sound he’s so famous and respected for. Deep and bass driven grooves, perfectly layered on top of each other like damask steel. In order to enjoy this masterpiece, we recommend to snort a big line of that “Digital Dust”. “Family Biz” is taking a more laidback and broken beat direction. Dense percussions, intricate harmonies and a lot of soul and jazz vibes are hidden in this gem. Best to be discovered with your friends and loved ones on a sunny day beneath a shady tree, enjoying a couple of glasses while waiting for the sunset. Geez, this is so damn gorgeous. “ath” ends this formidable EP. Again, no club inspired vibes (cos clubs are closed anyway, right?) pulsating out Mackson’s snyths, instead a more abstract broken beat crawling into our ears. Eerie sound modulations and creepy acid - lovers of DJ Krush’s older works might fall in love with this.

Two of the UK’s most talked about producers will be releasing their maiden collaboration on Hot Creations this May, as James Solace and Jansons team up on the Portal EP. The three-tracker marks James’ return to the label, fresh from the sensational Mind Music last year, whilst Jansons makes his full release debut having remixed Ben Sterling’s Fantasee in 2019.

Portal sets the pace, as punchy kick-hat combos converge on shimmering synth stabs throughout. It’s a club-ready cut, taking us deep into heads down hands up territory with rhythmic claps and writhing percussion. Ba Dah Be Dah continues the late-night feel, marrying echoing vocals into a tough, low-slung bassline whilst tribal drum patterns stomp in the background before 54 brings things to a feel good close. It’s a summer anthem through and through, packed to the brim with warming keys and plenty of funk inspired rhythm.

Whether it’s releasing stripped back house under his Burnski alias or hard edged 2-step via his Instinct moniker, James Burnham AKA James Solace has become a UK-mainstay over the years. James Solace is the latest incarnation in Burnham’s story, one that has seen him release on several of the scene’s foremost labels including Hot Creations, Knee Deep In Sound, Last Night On Earth and many more besides. Jansons is swiftly cementing his standing as a leading talent in contemporary electronic music. A prolific producer, his back catalogue boasts releases on Circus, Knee Deep In Sound and Four Thirty Two to name just a few, whilst recent mixes for BBC Radio 1 have placed him as a firm favourite in the UK spotlight.
