There is a noticeable amount of stunning new experimental music coming out of Europe these days, and the debuting Ordo Viatorum label out of Holland is certainly part of the trend. Coming through with little to no promotion or information, this LP entitled Split sees Neugeborene Nachtmusik and Onont Kombar deliver a series of highly impressive tracks, respectively. The former churns out three dark and vibrant cuts that are in no way, shape or form tied down to any one genre; instead, the artist takes influences from noise, industrial and techno to mould his own singular vision of experimental warehouse music, because this LP is just that. The same goes for the latter, except that he has one more tune to play with and wider palette of distorted electronic shapes We’re sorry, but there are no words to describe this apocalyptic sound at the cutting-edge of dance music – it is certainly for the brave of heart and for those looking for a bit doom in their lives. Warmly recommended.
