Alien Dread Abyssinia Feat. Alvin Davis & Danny G

After a full studio refurbishment, during 2014, Alien Dread now returns with a 4 track 7”EP which features newly recorded Instrumental & Dub tracks. The A side, track 1, ‘Abyssinia’, is a Sax led track and features top JA Hornsman Alvin Davis, and is accompanied on track 2 by a heavyweight Alien Dread Dub Vs. Alvin is also well known in Jazz and other musical areas and has worked with many Jazz, Soul and mainstream artists including: Andy Hamilton, Edwin Starr, The Foundations, Neville Staples (Specials & Fun Boy Three), Jackie Graham, Nigel Kennedy and Reggae-wise, Alton Ellis, Macka B, Maxi Priest and David Hinds (Steel Pulse) and many others.

Alvin also featured on our recent Peter Spence 7” release,‘Old Fashioned Way’ (Gadd 59 - PG 019-07), produced by Phillip 'Gadd 59' Whittaker. The B side, track 1, 'Dreadland' is a Flute led Vs on the same rhythm as the A side and features Italian Hornsman DannyG and is accompanied on track 2 by a heavyweight Alien Dread Dub Vs. An alternate version of A side track 1, will be featured on the forthcoming Alien Dread & Alvin Davis album: Dreadland (IRON SOUND - IRONLP 02-10, IRONCD 02 & Download). 8 track 10”LP and 12 track CD.
