Kentrix Blue Light District

Kentrix, aka Kenneth Winkler’s debut album “Blue Light District” is the result of a three-year- long creative process. The producer, based in Innsbruck, Austria, painstakingly collected and arranged various elements of stage music he composed himself, electronic love songs, and club-like beats. The album features more than one musical style. The sound-nerd has put together an album featuring nine tracks in 4/4-beats and a healthy amount of bass. It tells the story of dark nights and bright sunrises, evanescence of the seasons and of love in multi-faceted electronic moments. The album is characterized by strange sounds, playful melodies, and seemingly never-ending surfaces. Recorded and produced in Kenneth’s own studio, weyrerTon, with a bunch of analog equipment, numerous tracks were refined by high-profile guests on the piano, violin, and saxophone or highlighted by three vocalists’ charismatic voices. Viennese street artist Paul Busk and the artist Vika Prokopaviciute provided the album’s visuals. And so, “Blue Light District” comes in a tenderly crafted package of Gatefold 12’’ vinyl with single-sided 10’’ on black and white marbled vinyl. Three visually stunning video productions by Martin Potocnik round off the package.
