Praterei asserts its septenary in confidence with a double AA-side collaboration between label proprietor 7 Citizens and Berlin based producer Rydim. They each offer their own interpretation of the The Interview; a live jam from Rydim ?s studio in Friedrichshain last summer. The result is a mischievous jaunt through each of the pair’s renowned sentiments and fortes, a chugging pulse and playful synth-work underpinned with misshapen and ethereal pads. The Rydim side leans towards the floor with an unmistakeable ij swagger and pushes the intent of the track to the fore. 7 Citizens, meanwhile, brings a touch more subtlety to the equation and gives things space with delicate reverbs and intricate sound design. Both are for the ass and the ears alike!
