Two limited edition (500 & 600 copies pressed) 10” vinyl EPs recorded at the same time as Surfer Blood’s latest album Carefree Theatre, but sold only at tour dates (most of which have now been canceled, thanks Pandemic...) Featuring six new songs independent of the forthcoming album, Hourly Haunts is Surfer Blood at its very best, with earworm melodies and addicting guitar riffs abound. On new single 'Around Your Sun,' a song the band describes as both "an up-tempo, triumphant love song" and a "sensitive banger," this refreshed sound is showcased to thrilling effect.

Markus Acher (best known as singer of The Notwist) typically produces his own music under the name Rayon – this time, however, is a different story. Using his real name, he sends a signal re: the circumstances he recorded the music in - at home in his old apartment in Munich, in a private setting, in a time when there was hardly anything else available. Accordingly, and rather fittingly, the four songs represent a bridge to the outside world: Acher tore the doors to his balcony wide open, inviting the outside in , capturing its sound on tape: rain falling, engine noise of passing cars. And at the same time the songs pushed outward, into that sphere that remained off-limits to us for some time (“Like a plane they can go everywhere”).

The four tracks - arranged for harmonium, acoustic guitar, banjo, glockenspiel, percussion, a children's harp and vocals - were released digitally in 2021 via the Japanese independent platform Minna Kikeru, run by Saya (member of the duo Tenniscoats and Markus Acher's bandmate in Spirit Fest), among others. For two songs of «Like A Plane», Saya contributed vocal tracks as well.

The new project features seven spoken word pieces set to music by Nick Cave in collaboration with Warren Ellis, and a 12 minute instrumental, recorded during the Carnage album sessions. It was produced by Nick Cave with Luis Almau.

»Vertigo Dubs Vol. 2: Elijah Minnelli« is the second in a series of 10inches accompanying The Notwist’s current album »Vertigo Days«, and will present new versions of some of its tracks.

Elijah Minnelli is a radio presenter for Soho Radio and Radio alHara. His varied musical tastes inform a production style that merges disparate influences with contemporary bass music via a dubwise tradition. ​For this second volume, Minnelli reinterprets both »Al Sur (featuring Juana Molina)« and »Exit Strategy To Myself«. The former is spun into an ethereal cumbia-inspired yarn, while the latter opts for dubbed-out sparseness in a dancehall framework.

The Vertigo Dubs are a continuation of The Notwist’s collective approach that led to »Vertigo Days«, while offering new access to the album’s songs.

If you’ve followed modern music, Rage needs no introduction. If you’re wondering how we got to release a record by a band this big, you must not know that Zack was in Inside OUT before he started Rage Against THE Machine. Everyone’s favorite (and only existing) punk rock all-star cover band ME First AND THE Gimme GimmeS are back with their latest offering, Go Down Under. Instead of enhancing (or disgracing, depending on who you ask) one specific genre of music, as is their typical approach, this time they’ve decided to take on the music of an entire continent. As you may have guessed from the album’s title, Australia is the lucky recipient of the Gimmes latest musical makeover. Crikey! Five tracks from proud Aussies the likes of Inxs, Olivia Newton-John, and Air Supply, are belted out with the boisterous fun-loving style that only the Gimmes know how to pull off. Didgeridoos be damned, these tunes are all brimming with ripping guitar leads, up-tempo rhythms, and the signature silky smooth vocals of Spike Slawson. Go Down Under is their first newly recorded material since 2006 and from the opening riff it’s blatantly clear the guys haven’t lost a step. Just to add to the excitement, the vinyl version of the album is available for the first time on 10- inch vinyl! Originally released as a double 7”.

Numbered and limited to 1000 copies worldwide. Recorded in Berlin & remotely between 2020 & 2021, the opening track "The Real" is from the forthcoming album "Fire Doesn't Grow On Trees" the second track "Where Do We Go From Here?" is exclusive to this release. With Anton Newcombe (Vocals/ Guitars), Ryan Carlson Van Kriedt (keyboards), Hakon Adalsteinsson (guitar), Hallberg Dadi Hallbergsson (bass), & Uri Rennert (drums) playing on this offering. Special 3-song EP from Mono on stunning limited-edition 10” vinyl! After Covid-19 first swept the world in 2020, Mono felt compelled to make a special little gift for the Christmas holiday. The accompanying message was simple: “Wishing everyone good health, happiness, and good cheer in the new year.” Originally made at home in isolation, this digital-only release consisted of two new Mono songs: “Scarlet Holliday” and “First Winter.” Now, to commemorate the 2021 holiday season, Mono has reworked and expanded Scarlet Holliday into a very special 3-song EP (now including the brand new song, “Epilogue”). Recorded at home and at Electrical Audio by longtime collaborator, Steve Albini, newly mixed by John McEntire and mastered by Bob Weston, Scarlet Holliday is finally being released into the world on limited-edition 10” vinyl! In their unflappable determination to shine light into the darkness, Mono explains: “These songs were written with the idea of new hope for the new year since this time has become unforeseeably dark for many in the world."

Hardboiled has four non-album tracks plus a very different version of “Summer Trope” from Carefree Theatre, with horns and guest lead vocals by Dutch singer Pip Blom. Additional guest lead vocals are handled by Surfer Blood bassist Lindsey Mills (on “Dori Deer”) and Samira Winter of the band Winter (on “Playing Dumb”).

Chilean black/death metal cataclysm Chaos Perversion emanate from the underworld of the glorious South American extreme metal scene with an aural declaration of war aimed straight at humanity like a hell-forged arsenal of complete mass destruction. Loyal and adherent to the tradition and reputation of the legendary and often far too overlooked Chilean black/death and speed metal cult, Chaos Perversion throw the entirely of their negativity and darkened vision into a nineteen-minute debut offering of feral and primal aural darkness worshipping the omnipotence and majesty of total chaos and inevitability. Originally circulated independently only locally in their scene back in 2019, the duo's debut EP "Petrified Against the Emanation" is now presented via Sentient Ruin for global audiences as a limited edition vinyl 10-inch.

“This recording is not a "best of", it is a reflection of Tori Kudo's evolution as a composer, from playing with seasoned musicians, to playing with people just starting out, from playing with meticulous scores, to playing call & response melodies written down, to the songs here on "Je est un Autre": instant improvisations based on keyboard compositions that Tori plays for the group. Yes, that is it. He plays a recording of himself on the keyboard, with singing or humming sometimes and he leaves it to the "big band" to interpret this on the spot. Sometimes, you can make out the melody, other times it is quite obscure, as if a sort of common shyness flows out of the collected instrumentarium.

And other times, well, it is a big party.

Mr Kudo and the group were invited to tour Europe to celebrate 20 years of the project Le Ton Mité, members of which are absorbed into the ensemble. The recording evolves from the static sound of hermetic conditions to the live concert in the later tracks. The studio here, is a trendy concert hall in Brussels Les Ateliers Claus. You hear the applause of the brave ears that weathered the ride of accidental psychedelia & moiré of various notes fading into and out of each other. This is only a sliver of the material from the 20 hour recording marathon documenting the new composing/playing style of Mr Kudo & snippets from the last concert of the March 2018 tour. Perhaps the album should be called "Je est un autre : Volume 1" in a vague reference to "My Brother The Wind" series from Sun Ra. In any case, here you have four sides of ten inch vinyl to take you on a journey into Maher: Je est un autre…”
