Modelo '89 Vegan is the SAYE design that visually takes its cue from the sporty footwear of the seventies and combines it with a contemporary mindset. The outsole of the SAYE Modelo '70 is made from a 70% recycled rubber blend, while the upper is made of vegan corn nappa, which has a 68% bio-based mass content. The SAYE Modelo '70's lining is made from the brand's ever-loved bamboo fabric, and the laces consist of 100% certified organic cotton.

The goal that SAYE has set itself is to produce smart retro sneakers from as many recycled materials as possible, so that no harm is done to the environment; at the same time, SAYE is committed to fighting for fair working conditions, with production taking place in the EU. And then there's the story with the trees: to counteract deforestation, two trees are now planted for every pair of shoes sold.
