Public System Recordings returns for it's second release with a hot tip from a distant land in the form of Buttechno. Named after the area he used to live in Russia, 'Tepily Stan', paints a picture of life in the russian district. Interspersing low slung, melancholy melodies with textural ambience and fast paced percussive rhythms, there is something for everybody here. First up we have Strainn, a tense workout delivered through some seriously crunchy kicks and squelched out synth sequences. Ekman's remix does justice, following on with the thick percussion and then some, stripping it back and bumping up the rhythm section. Flip side starts with "Trance T",a fast paced journey through what seems like an array of genres masterfully melded into a melodic melting pot. "Augustus 13" begins the comedown with warm, low chords overlayed with crisp percussion and cosmic bleeps. "Lady D" rounds off the EP with with exquisite vocal sampling over dystopian electronica. Not to be missed.
