Item Description

The original line up of Death & Beauty Found (1982) consisted of Val Denham, Mike Wells, Nick Coombe, Stuart Jane, Elita Denham and Antal Nemeth. Originally they were a performance group using experimental sounds. As the group progressed those sounds became the most defining aspect of their creative output. Though welcomed by the industrial/noise scene, the Death & Beauty Foundation were really avant-garde pop brutalists who wanted to have a good time. Much of their rare recordings can be heard on this double album, some tracks may even sound as though they have been recorded incorrectly. They haven't, it is all intentional, and the awkward sounds were there from the beginning.
