East Eastwoo

20 years after his accidential death on 3rd February 1996, Mainly Records along with Double H pays tribute to the life and works of East. The re-issue of the 1997 EP “Eastwoo” is putting a genuine French hip-hop legend back into the spotlight.
He was the quintessential MC. It’s not hard to hear why: take the re-issue of the vinyl EP „Eastwoo”, place the needle of your record player anywhere on the record and then listen carefully. You’ll soon understand. East put his voice - the main instrument of a rapper - to incredible use. High-pitched and clear, it was instantly recognizable. His phrasing, as an essential a part of rapping as footwork is in basketball, was always perfect. He was the full package as an MC. East had the vocabulary, the wit and a real message, along with an incredible sense of musical phrasing.
This limited edition is presented on double 12inch in a gatefold sleeve. Side A&B contain the original remastered EP, while side C&D contains an unreleased track including a remix by Cut Killer and all instrumentals.
