Flug The Hedonist EP

Enigmatic Argentinian, Flug, makes a triumphant return to Suara with this no-nonsense four track EP of powerhouse, techno bombs.
‘The Hedonist’ twists together pounding synths stabs with hardy rides that rip right through. Thrashing kicks and glitchy arps resonate in the background, with every added element amplifying the expansive atmosphere of this tunnelling, techno, tour de force. Next up ‘Monitor’ hammers down with a pummelling array of acidic, siren-like synths sweeping over the industrial wastelands. Scintillating hats, thundering kicks and an undulating sub bass add weight to the waves.
On the flip side, ‘Room 405’ takes proceedings into a brooding cauldron of firing melodic synapses. It’s sinister textures contort through the depths, as rising percussive swells pan between the ears, adding to the unease. Taking the final slot, ‘Bass’ flashes acid flares over the top of rapid fire percussion and pulsating synth bursts. Throbbing subs and a deep vocal repetition make this an insurgent force of loops to get lost within.
