In September 2006 the Kindred Spirits Ensemble presented, in memory of John Coltrane’s 80th birthday, a spiritual jazz odyssey in respect to John Coltrane’s philosophy at the Paradiso (Amsterdam, The Netherlands). His album “A LoveSupreme” that came out in the roaring sixties was the beginning of a musical movement. Coltrane opens the eyes of the jazz community by pointing out the potential of jazz: it’s a way of generating positive changes. The wish to create an objective, universal voice helps Coltrane develop his own sound. The result is a warm style with a strong spiritual message that finds followers up till today.
