Morti Viventear is a Montréal-based producer, record collector and incorrigible binge drinker.

Being an avid gore movie collector, most of Morti's previous works were inspired by the genre's vibe and visuals. This full-length called "Trip de boucles piquées" took a year and a half to put together. More than half of this time was spent finding the loops and samples, and getting the original copies of the albums (mostly obscure 70s prog recordings). The collected pieces were then thrown through an MPC 2000xl sampler and a Roland VS-880 8-track to create slow-paced sound collages.

"Trip de boucles piquées" is a trip to a dark, yet comforting setting, sucking the listener into this scenery. (Mich Moser)
