Item Description
The first full album for the nu-jazz and post-rock explorers - mouse on the keys. This album was released in 2009 and was the first to include Daisuke Niitome on Keyboards who would bring with him last missing piece of the puzzle for the band. With a broad pool of familiar tones from the minimalism of Philip Glass to the modern jazz of Portico Quartet and to their peers in the Japanese post-rock movement mono and toe, the band charm their way through the half-hour running-time leaving us all wanting more. It's hard to pick out a star performer between them with each performing outside the bounds of human form as they gravitate towards greater horizons. They rework the set-up on tracks "Seiren" and "soil" with guest trumpet and soprano saxophone players Jun Nemoto and Daisuke Sasake adding their own star roles. This album was mixed and mastered by toe guitarist Mino Takaaki whose respective bands feel kindred spirits.
