Styro2000 / Manuel Mind & Valentino Tomasi Deselected

Side A features two tracks from Styro2000's Le Bal EP "Deselected", out on the same date, June 25th. Styro2000, Zurich's master of modular analogue systems and of "Galoppierende Zuversicht" fame with legendary live performances at Burning Man, is back with a solo release featuring his carefully crafted trademark sound of analogue minimal techno that seduces the listener with its rhythmic patterns and sonic waves. Side AA features the third and final installment of the "Strange Sounds" remixes by Le Bal's own Manuel Mind & Valentino Tomasi. While in Volumes 1 & 2 (LEBAL1201/1202, LEBAL002), we invited mainly producers from our native Switzerland - Andri, Canson, Marco Repetto et al. - this time, we asked some international remixers to complete their visions of the track. It starts with DJ Slugo, one of the pioneers of Chicago Juke / Ghetto House, and his uncompromising deep bass 808 booty-shake Juke version; after that, Foremost Poets' Johnny Dangerous beats "Strange Sounds" with a bat, and out comes a syncope-driven "Mental" version that fully deserves its name. At last, Berlin-based Mijk van Dijk delivers a funky track with a boogie feel you feel the need to dance to.
