Terumasa Hino is a leading Japanese trumpet player, four very special and rare LPs from his earlier catalogue are being reissued and will be widely available outside of Japan for the very first time, for Record Store Day 2020. Hino's track Ode to Workman was featured on the excellent 2018 compilation J Jazz: Deep Modern Jazz From Japan 1969- 1984 released on BBE. These 4 records are important pieces in 1970's independent Jazz! The last and 4th work form Terumasa Hino's Love Records was recorded when he returned to the U.S. In addition to Reggie Workman who is already familiar with Hino, he is joined by legendary saxophonist Gary Bartz, drummer Eric Gravatt who would later become a member of Weather Report and guitarist Kiyoshi Sugimoto. The compositions and playing on Each Other and Sister Mayumi, are so aggressive and dope. The sparks are really flying on this meeting between Hino and Bartz!
