Truemendous Huh? EP

Birmingham born, London based lyricist TrueMendous is set to release her debut EP ‘HUH?’ via High Focus Records on 20th March. Having built up a name for herself, True is bringing something new to the table, the seven-track project displays her storytelling expertise, varied range and unrivalled flow. Taking reign as the first female rapper to sign to High Focus Records she is definitely one to look out for. Stating ‘Everyone wants to go protect the King but it’s the Queen that takes out everybody on a chessboard’ on Sweetheart, True sets the tone for her future with unparalleled confidence. Five years ago she gave up her job in retail to take up busking full time. Against all odds she turned her passion into her job and would visit a different city every day, five days a week, performing seven hours a day. In today’s world of short cuts and filters, the only thing True can rely on whilst busking is her raw talent. Reminiscent of where Hip-Hop was born, she finds comfort on the street corners where only the most real rappers can thrive. During one of her regular performances last year on Oxford Street, she was overheard by Ghetts who shared her skills across Instagram. Previous support has come from DJ Target, Trevor Nelson, Sbtv and she has already performed at Lovebox, Glastonbury, Reading and Leeds. It’s been a couple of years in the making but she is in the process of finalising her debut album coming on High Focus Records this year. Now embarking on the next stage of her musical journey, TrueMendous is set to turn the streets of London into stadiums worldwide.
