Vilkaics The Fever Of War

LP edition of the premier recordings of the Vilkacis (Brooklyn, NY), solo project of M. Rekevics (Fell Voices, Ruin Lust, and more). The five tracks featured on this release are a demonstration of savage, triumphant black metal mastery. Romantic as they are raw, the songs are played with a sense of violence and total emotional abandon that draws from classic black metal influences, though with a melodramatic flair for melody that is unique to this project. Taking cues from classic projects such as Ulver and early Darkthrone, and running them through the filter of their more triumphant Slavic and and French counterparts, Vilkacis is truly a project to behold. This pressing is limited to 317 copies worldwide. The records are housed in a metallic screen printed gatefold jacket on heavyweight raw black stock. The LPs themselves likewise feature metallic pantone spot-imprinting on the center labels to match the print color. All copies come with a free digital download.
