Under his artistic name, Manzanita, he showcased his prodigious talent as a guitar player through years of live performance. Manzanita discovered his passion for the guitar at an early age, joining his older brother in various performances of Criollo music. In 1962, he was part of the group called "Los Pacharacos" and later "Los Pachas", where he stood out thanks to his guitar skills and a sublime fusion of tropical rhythms and Huayno.
