In the 1960s many hip vibraphonists like Cal Tjader and Dave Pike made cover versions of popular hit songs, and Copenhagen based vibes player/multi instrumentalist/producer Morten Grønvad a.k.a. Mo’ “El Gringo Starr” Green has now taken up that tradition and turned one of Danish rock ’n’ roll band Gasolin’s most iconic songs ’Rabalderstræde’ into a sexy latin boogaloo smash hit track perfect for the uptown cocktail party. Following this he has written the original tune ‘That’s What She Said’, going right down that same groovy path and now both tracks are out on a limited collector’s edition 7” vinyl as well as on all digital streaming platforms.
