Resurge debuts with "Wetware," a forward-thinking project that hopes to expand the boundaries of sonic fiction and music. The project blends concepts of engineering, biotechnology, futurism, and science to create vivid experiences through psychoacoustics, sound design and harmonic principles. Their first release captures their raw and intuitive approach, showcasing the results of a single experimental recording session with a polyphonic synthesizer, self programmed harmonic processors and a modular synthesizer; processed using physical recording setups, analogue mixing equipment and various Al-based, digital effects. The five track EP highlights the different ideas and concepts of their research to find new acoustic forms and formats that envision a potential future where technology and biology are in sync. As perhaps nothing influences the sound of music more fundamentally than a civilization's sociotechnical framework.
