Secret Sidewalk Primal Dap

Following up on several cult-status releases, Secret Sidewalk (featuring
members of 545, Con Brio, The M-Tet), spent 2017-2019 focusing their
efforts on effectively capturing their live sound. Recording sketches and
improvisations in several locations throughout the San Francisco /
Oakland Bay Area (home studios, practice spaces, and professional
studios), the band captured the rawness that audiences continue to
expect from their live show.
Primal Dap is the long-anticipated follow up to “Does Anyone Knock
Anymore,” (Self Released - 2017) a beat tape featuring improvisations
and deep explorations of the band’s sound. The beat tape quickly sold
out and built upon the groups seminal 7” release, “Cholo Curls” (CTB
Records - 2014).
This will be the inaugural release of the band's label Primal Dap Sound.
The new venture will feature projects curated by the members of Secret
Sidewalk, spanning their diverse interests (jazz, hip hop, electronic,
experimental)
