V.A. Amen EP

[Re]sources is one of the three labels hosted by the new Parisian records store La Source, alongsides DDD, a label specialized in releasing techno remixes of concrete music, and the French branch of Smallville label. In contrast to these rather stamped Techno and House labels, [re]sources shows clearly its taste for the Bass Music 'à la française' but very inspired by UK underground music. Out in vinyl and digital on March 31st, the label's first release, Amen EP, is in the direct lineage of producers like Tessela or Special Request. As a tribute to Jungle music, a genre that really influenced the label's artists, the three tracks of this EP are variations on the famous Amen break, this percussive sample that is well known by Drum And Bass producers. Alongside newcomers Mad:AM from Paris, this EP features the French duo CDBL from Tours and Parisian Tommy Kid who already released well-received EPs on Sounds Of Sumo and Hot’N’Heavy. Amen EP already got numerous plays on radios like BBC radio One or Rinse FM and a big support from DJs like Roska, Hostage and Monki.
