NEW Re-issue OF THE SKA Meets Pop-punk Classic That Kicked OFF THE Modern SKA Resurgence ON Retail Exclusive Blue Vinyl W/ Marketing Sticker Whatever arguable resurgence that ska punk seems to be having, you can’t attempt to explain it or pinpoint it without referencing We Are The Union or their 2018 masterpiece “Self Care”. Initially a crowd-funded venture that raised over $60,000 worth of support, the record’s release was met with critical success and an instantly sold out modest initial pressing of 600 units. Now for the first time since it’s release the record is available again from the ska-punk focused Bad Time Records (who released the band’s 2021 album “Ordinary Life”), ready to meet the since dramatically expanded ska fan base. The record focuses on mental health in a way that hadn’t been addressed especially by a ska band. Singer Reade Wolcott addressed it in an article for Spin: “At that point, my focus was very pro-normalizing talking about mental health,” Wolcott says of 2018’s Self Care, the band’s first post-hiatus record. Wolcott wanted to push the conversation around mental health and open the possibility of taking complex emotions and putting them at the center of a ska song. “People related to it in a way that I hadn’t seen in the past,” she says of the album’s themes of depression, anxiety and existential crises. - Niko Stratis, Spin With radio-worthy singles like “A Better Home” and “What’s Wrong With Me”, the record is not only important in the annals of ska history but a critical success in the world of independent music, period, and a must have for collectors and fans alike.

SKA Legend Mike Park AND Rising Stars Catbite Join Forces FOR A Generation Spanning Second Installment IN THE BAD Time Records ‘wavebreaker’ Series ON Limited Edition SEA Blue Vinyl If you’ve ever dipped a toe into the world of ska, vinyl, or DIY punk music from the past 30 years... there’s a good chance that the name Mike Park has come up. Founder of Asian MAN Records, Skankin’ Pickle, THE Bruce LEE Band, and a wealth of solo material and side projects, Mike has been pairing his love of punk and ska with damn good song writing throughout his career. On Wavebreaker #2 he brings us two ska instant classics, starting with “I couldn‘t wait out through the night”... a more traditonal track with a heavy groove and soulful sax, featuring vocals by the equally legendary Karina Denike of Dance Hall Crashers. He follows it up with “Lose With Me”, a speedy ska punk dance-floor filler that’s sure to please all generations of Park’s fans. It’s clear that he’s got an ear for great songwriting when you listen to these songs (or even just take a look at the AMR roster)... but when asked who is favorite modern ska band is, Mike says without hesitation... “Catbite!” If you’ve dipped a toe into the re-blossoming world of ska over the past 4 years, there’s also a good chance that the name Catbite has come up. Hot off of their 2021 sophomore LP “Nice One”, Catbite has been bringing their unique spin on two-tone style ‘garage punk’ ska across America. Fresh off of tours with Jeff Rosenstock and Streetlight Manifesto, Catbite is poised to bear the torch for the next generation of ska bands and fans. “Spiral” is an rhymitcally upbeat but lyrically dark aural fistfight with depression and self deprecation, played with a vigor and venom of a band totally locked in and all topped off with a staggering vocal performance from singer Brittany Luna. “Everybody Talks” certainly lightens the mood, and makes you instantly realize why the band would choose to cover this Neon Trees hit... it’s executed perfectly. Born out of mutual respect and a love of ska music, Wavebreaker 2 showcases two artists at the top of their game giving an under-appreciated genre just the jolt of addrenaline it needs and deserves.

“This is how you do a modern ska record. For sure, Catbite are influenced by the two-tone champions of yore (The Selector is a particular reference point) but for every upstroke and bouncing bass line the band adds a splash of ‘50s rock, ‘60s soul, or ‘70s punk. It helps that vocalist Brittany Luna is classical trained. She’s clearly in total control of her voice, here, which allows her to focus on feeling instead of technique. A sort of Motown warmth radiates through her performance, even when she’s zapping out with some punk rock spunk. They conjure that same magic that springs from the Trojan Box set while staying present, or perhaps moreso, staying timeless.” John Gentile, Punknews.org Power POP, Garage Rock AND Two-tone SKA Clash Magnificently IN This Steller Debut BY Philly Punk N’ Rollers Catbite.

10 Year Anniversary Pressing OF THE Modern SKA Punk Classic w/ NEW ART First Time IN Print Since 2015 “Kill Lincoln is one of the most vital bands right now not just in ska-punk, but in DIY music in general.” Andrew Sacher, BrookylnVegan Bad Time Records is extremely excited to finally re-issue Kill Lincoln’s “That’s Cool... in a Totally Negative and Destructive Way” in honor of it’s 10 year annivesary. The band’s second studio effort sees no sophomore slump, but has the band coming into it’s own and helping to define the modern ska punk sound; blending plenty of 3rd wave elements with dashes of hardcore, skate punk, metal, and enough pop punk gang vocals to keep everyone singing along. Tracks like “Wake, Wait, Repeat” and “F For Finished” helped define the band’s sound and role in the modern ska resurgence, and are mainstays in the band’s current setlist for good reason. A crucial link in the band’s modern catalogue, “That’s Cool” is finally getting the vinyl re-treatment on the band’s own Bad Time Records after it’s initial pressing went out of print in 2015 and is a must own for anyone paying attention to the modern day ska movement

Debut LP From THE Next-gen Leading SKA Punks ON Vinyl FOR THE First Time ON Retail Exclusive Cyan Blue Vinyl W/ Marketing Sticker “Kill Lincoln is one of the most vital bands right now not just in ska-punk, but in DIY music in general.” Andrew Sacher, BrookylnVegan If you’ve heard anything about a ‘ska resurgence’, ‘4th wave’, or ‘New Tone’ ska movement, then chances are you’ve also heard of Kill Lincoln. The DC ska punk act has been blending ska, hardcore, and pop-punk with an absolutely electric energy since their inception, and their 2011 debut LP “you Were There” helped establish the band as a major up and coming act in the ska scene. Featuring the track “Get Fucked Four Eyes” which became a surprise hit thanks to massive independent playlisting, the album is not only a fan favorite but a crucial touch-stone for understanding the current state of the thriving ska punk scene. Pressed to vinyl for the first time only due to the extraordinary demand from fans, the album has been given both an audio remaster and a visual touch up and is available in an exclusive retail variant limited to 250 copies via Bad Time Records
