The show presented here returns to Welch's final days with Fleetwood Mac, possibly his last show with them. it is an excellent radio broadcast from the Record Plant, December 15, 1974. The show is live, but without an actual audience, being in front of only a couple dozen Record Plant-affiliated people, which makes for a somewhat strange silence after and between songs. But it is a great show nonetheless and Welch's final fling with Fleetwood Mac.

The album was originally recorded by Swedish National Radio for a radio show called Tonkraft at the Stockholm Konserthuset on 12 November 1970, but not released until 1988. The tapes were re-mixed by Tom Leader at Angel Recording Studios in London. It remains the prime example of the early Mk II set list. The set list comprises songs from the album Deep Purple in Rock and long instrumentals from earlier albums. The two songs "Mandrake Root" and "Wring that Neck" took up half the concert in the early days, until the Fireball tour when the lineup was able to add more original material.

The University of London Union show took place on February 8, 1980, just a few months before Ian Curtis's death. The 12 song set list was mostly based on songs that would end up on Closer (the band's second and final studio album) but also on classic singles such as “Love Will Tear Us Apart” and “Digital”. The band was in fine form with Curtis leading the charge into their own gloomy, psychotic, atmospheres. A quintessential live album and a real treat for any Joy Division fan.

On this double set Mr. Slowhand teams up with the almighty southern rocker in an a torrential series of blues jam. All the efforts have been captured at Criteria Studios, Miami, Florida, on a hot summer day on the 27th of August, 1970. On this date the sound engineer (Tom Dowd) just left the tapes rollin’ all night. Clapton was just hanging around in the studio after recording with Derek and the Dominos the influential Layla And Other Assorted Love Songs, Duane just added five notes to the classic track “Layla” and here our story begins. A meeting of exceptional minds.
