Constant Sound is back with more of its constantly good sonics, this time from Dennis Quin who offers up a potent blend of raw minimal, tech and house. 'My Belief' is the sort of cut to get clubs marching as one to the jacked-up drums and whirring synth motifs. 'Hear Dis' has plenty of infectious garage skip to it and 'Eighty Four' layers up slick percussion with bumping drum funk and some nice exotic vocal samples. After his massive remix of Butch - No Worries, Dutch native Dennis Quin returns to Cécille Records. This time with an original EP. It can't be ignored that Dennis Quin, who has collaborated with Kerri Chandler, Mr V. is on fire. With support from the likes of Jamie Jones, Chris Stussy, Enzo Siragusa, Toman and releasing on labels like Defected, PIV. House Music is definitely Dennis’s System. This is also shown with his brand new EP on Cécille including a collaboration with the Victor Romeo (aka Victor Parris Mitchell) & Leatrice Brown hit from 1988 "Love will find a way" This record is a true classic and of the first releases on the legendary Chicago "Dance Mania" label. Not only has Dennis used the original vocal with permission by Victor in a new modern way, but he created a completely new instrumental track amongst it. Ready to roll from Autumn up until next Summer. A true timeless future classic record has born. Label-boss of PIV Records, Prunk took the original to another Club-vibe spectrum which has turned a lot of heads in the club already. The second remix completes this EP and is done by the talented Jesse Maas who injected an amazing classy touch. The main track is joined by a second track that’s called ‘Square World’ another original one by Dennis, showing his moody / melodic skills with hypnotising chords and a firm break-beat groove.

The main track 'the Gryphon’ is an interpretation of an unreleased track on DAT tape, made by Eric Nouhan (Alice D. In Wonderland Alias) for a special event back in 1992 and got lost after that.

Dennis Quin made his own interpretation based on one YouTube clip available from that club night in Amsterdam where DJ Dimitri (nl) played it from a DAT cassette deck. After 31 years this track will be released officially and will see the light of Day.

Followed with a Dennis Quin original one ‘RiGHT ON’ containing a banging drive and appealing vocal.

The B-side starts with a Vinyl only track that is called ‘tournesol’ an atmospheric dub reconstruction of the original by Eric Nouhan that completes the vibe of the EP. ‘fame TO Blame’ brings the groove, oldskool but still in a timeless vibe.

Dennis Quin returns to his own self-titled imprint with the ‘Temptation’ EP, comprised of four sturdy original House cuts from the Dutch producer and DJ. Throughout the past decade, Dutch artist Dennis Quin has amassed widespread support from many leading figures in the underground house scene through material on the likes of PIV, Cecille, Defected, Jerome Sydenham’s Iconic Ibadan and Kaoz Theory, as well as collaborating with the latter label’s founder, Kerri Chandler, and yet another icon of House, Todd Terry amongst others. Here though, Dennis tips the focus towards his own label to deliver more of his raw grooves, crisp beats, and bouncy bass lines. Title-track ‘Temptation’ leads and lays down a choppy bass line, euphoric piano keys, classic rave stabs and a hooky vocal lick alongside his signature swinging, robust drum style. ‘Ascending’ follows next and sees Quin lean towards a more percussive led feel via heavily shuffled drums, dubbed out vocal chants and twitchy stab sequences. Opening the flip side of the EP is ‘Odessey’, this time bringing a wavey, elongated bass line into the limelight, subtly nuanced throughout for hypnotic effect while a bouncy drum workout carries the groove throughout. ‘Love Fiyaa’ then rounds out the EP on a raw and reduced tip, fusing ethereal pad swells and murky bass flutters with a stripped-back and sporadic dub vocals.
