One side of me is very much against the explanation and intellectualisation of my work. This side of me says the work is just another world and we won't get anywhere by talking about it.

That it's a distraction from feeling it. The other side of me loves to intellectualise and interpret.

But of course, it's always just a temporary snap shot of what I project in the moment. I call these two sides the child and adult in me.

They're constantly in conversation as I work and after. The child is a lot more present in the process of working, and the adult has a bit more presence afterwards.

For the last EP I wrote brief snapshots of what each track meant to me. Some of it still feels true now, and some of it has changed.

For this EP I'll just leave it with no explanation. I've done a lot of new visual work that will come out alongside this and they can also be interpreted and paired in any way.

47016 is Killawatt’s third solo EP on 47.

Time Capsule is a new reissue label that unites the record collectors and DJs of the brilliant corners and Beauty & The Beat communities in London. For each release, Kay Suzuki works alongside one co-curator to reinstate and repackage the music they hold dear into perfectly restored historic artifacts.
For the first release, brilliant corners regular and Meda Fury signing Ryota OPP curates the reissue of Il Guardiano Del Faro’s 1978 album Oasis.
Born 1940 in Milan, Federico Monti Arduini was a child prodigy who studied piano and was already performing at concerts from the age of eight. He composed pop songs for other artists which sold millions of copies, but his own solo success came after he encountered synthesizers in the early 70s. Viewed as a precursor of New Age sound art, Arduini was one of the first producers in Italy to use the Moog synthesizer and a meeting with Bob Moog in New York only added to this obsession. He was also an early adopter of the tradition among electronic producers to use a moniker to disguise his identity. Il Guardiano Del Faro (translated as “the guardian of lighthouse”) is a nod to the small Italian fishing town Porto Santo Stefano, where Arduini created his studio in the mid-70s.
He produced a number of albums from this seaside idyl of electronic instruments and tape recorders, but Oasis stands out from the pack. Released in 1978, it became a cult classic for its experimental sounds and emotional expressions. Spiritual synth sounds cover the album in a dreamy haze, oscillating between ambient and psychedelic. Sparing deployment of the Roland rhythm box gives dance floor favourites ‘Disco Divina’ and ‘Oasis’ touches of space disco and even teases proto-house elements like the great Sun Palace.

Leo’s penchant for synthesisers and the warmth of his beloved machines is evident throughout this new release, with a retro soul spliced with modern sensibilities and, of course, visions of the future.

With Situational Awareness, post-punk legends Crash Course In Science deliver a ten track album consisting entirely of brand new material. The songs on Situational Awareness sound crisp and ultra-fresh, while the band from Philadelphia, USA, maintains their distinctive DIY sound created by toys, kitchen appliances and self-built synths. Far beyond new wave, the music is experimental and danceable at the same time - science and art, together hand in hand.

Killawatt returns on Tommy Four Seven’s 47 imprint for its sophomore single artist EP. UK’s Killawatt made his debut 47 appearance on the first Various Artist EP, 47001 in 2015 with his contribution, ‘Tensile’, alongside Kwartz, Isolated Lines and Tommy Four Seven. Following his appearance at 47’s new event Numerology in Berlin, Killawatt steps up to deliver the label’s second solo artist EP, 47010, which combines deadly broken rhythms, futuristic soundscapes and cutting textures to create 4 solid techno stepping experiments.

Jimpster has recently remixed Galcher Lustwerk for Tsuba, thatmanmonkz for Delusions Of Grandeur and Till Von Sein for SUOL.
His Eel Pie Island track for Systematic has just come out with remixes from Adam Port and Hyenah. The Adam Port remix went straight into the Beatport Deep House top 10 and is getting plays from many of the top DJ's. His remix of Mr V - Something With Jazz drops on Razor N Tape in October.
Brian Ring's debut release dropped in 2015 on Gerd Jansen's Running Back. This exclusive is only his second ever release but he already looks set for big things.
Clavis return with a fresh track following hot on the heels of their incredible Banza release which won many fans and received countless plays from the likes of Dixon, Ame, Tim Sweeny and Damian Lazarus.

The Philly hip-hop veteran RJD2 will return with a new album this spring. Titled "Dame Fortune", it features guest vocalists including Son Little, Phonte Coleman, Blueprint and more. According to the press release, the album’s centerpiece is an orchestral composition inspired by Ferguson titled ‘PF Day One’ (PF standing for ‘Post-Ferguson’).

Takaaki Itoh's Wols label has provided an outlet for the artist's own sound, one that's focussed on reductionist techno with a hefty industrial edge. It seems like the perfect label for the legendary Sleeparchive to bounce back into action after a period of hiatus, with two long-awaited remixes - hell yes! The title track "Slicer" is a brutal Berlin-influenced techno affair - a hypnotic rhythm with a rolling drum beat which demands to be played loud and in the dark. "Spacer" is more introverted, paying attention to the percussion elements which grind their way across a field of sparse bass growls and reverberating synths. Sleeparchive steps into action on the B-Side, with his remix of "Slicer" reducing the original to a mere shadow of its predecessor, those banging beats and melodies stripped dry into a spacious groove filled with subtle effects and minimalist tones. is retake of "Spacer" however, is actually punchier than the original, speeding up the tempo and adding a gritty bundle of snares to the picture. It's Sleeparchive at his best people - enough said!

Bleep's, Break's + Art is a new series from Under The Radar and run together by label owner Jdsk and artist Dawl. As the name suggest's this series it is all about Bleep's, Break's and Art. It features 4 Tracks on each release and carrying all the Dawl trademarks of dance floor bombs! Each bash comes in releases of 3 and with a unique graffiti artist for each release. For the first bash we have a girl from the south of Sweden in Malmo that goes under the name Bird that started out in the mid 90's doing some Artwork paintings for Harthouse etc. Limited copies..

Lab Music 4th is a solo Ep by Slak with a massive Answer Code Request remix, exploring the world of ambient rooted break-techno with a drum and bass excursion in the remix.

On the A side we find the first two tracks, Reflexion a club oriented break-techno track, combining dark ethereal textures with driving beats and sharp synths. Before Midnight, an elegant yet powerful gem with tribal reminiscences, Roland drums and light pads.

On the B side we have New Horizon, delivering melodic ambient rooted pads and the usual 909 broken beats. Furthermore we have a special drum and bass rooted remix of the same track from Answer Code Request, exploring Idm and d’n’b, combing dreamy moments with strong breakdowns.

perfectly groovin hypnotic minimalism. 180g Kai Kan is a Japanese minimalist who is known to serious vinyl diggers especially Minimal-house DJs. This time he delivers 3 tracks EP of experimental, abstract, stripped down grooves on his own imprint >Cough & Laugh<.

With this EP release we kick off Meuk, a new Rotterdam based electronic music collective founded by Denn Punk and Eva Bohnen. 'Meuk' means 'junk' or 'mess'. We both base our music on old school techno and for us techno should be a bit messy. Whether it's junk or not, that's up to you to decide.

The Meuk EP starts with the vocal oriented track 'Lekkere Track' by Denn Punk and really sets the tone of the EP. You definitely hear Denn's old school groovy signature sound: indispensable in every (hard)groovy set. Op z'n Rotterdams: deze track is gewoon lekker!

Especially for this release, Eva Bohnen presents her debut track 'Rauwe Groef' (Raw Groove). With a sharp synth sequence that is central to a hard groove. And of course all finished with a raw edge.

The track 'Achterstevoren' refers to Denn Punk's 'reversed' signature sound. The ear candy of this track really is the pad that gradually appears and floats and bounces harmoniously through the groove.

The last but certainly not the least track on the EP: 'Binnenstebuiten'. Translated as 'inside out'. A real old school track with the recognizable reversed kicks and grooves of Denn Punk. Halfway through the track turns inside out with a thick filter, hence the title. A perfect last track for this (hard)groovy Meuk EP.

Four years after his third album "red curb," this album includes "joy," one of Rei Harakami's best-known songs, and "owari no kisetsu," a cover of Haruomi Hosono's song, in which he takes on the challenge of singing vocals for the first time.

The long-awaited reissue of the CD written by Rei Harakami for "Colors of the Dark", the contents of the planetarium projector Megastar-ii cosmos at the National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation (Miraikan), is now available!! "I created this album for a planetarium project, with the idea of sustaining the atmosphere for over 30 minutes so that you may fall asleep. The classic album "Colors of the Dark" by rei harakami, which became a big hit among his fans, will be reissued on 180g heavy weight clear vinyl!! Rei Harakami, who passed away in July 2011 at the age of 40, is back with his long-awaited analog vinyl release, "Colors of the Dark"!! This album, which mainly features ambient sounds among Rei Harakami's works, was created as the soundtrack for "Colors of the Dark", a content for Megastar-ii cosmos, "the world's most advanced planetarium projector" at the National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation, Miraikan, Japan. It also includes "yami wa hikari no haha," a poem by Shuntaro Tanikawa, read by Ikuko Harada (Clammbon). At the time, the record was sold out immediately, and it is known as a rare piece that fetched a high price on the second-hand market.

Bjarki launches creative hub Differance Engine with new four-track EP, ‘Look At Yourself Pt.1’ The project sees the bbbbbb founder combine with creative Thomas Harrington-Rawle, building on the pair's recent AV show ‘Look At Yourself’ with a wealth of new projects and releases slated for 2023. DJ, producer, live artist and label owner Bjarki, full name Bjarki Rúnar Sigurðarson, launches his latest creative project Differance Engine and label Differance with a brand new EP in February. Welcoming a new home for the Icelandic favourite to release and showcase audio-visual projects, the creation of Differance Engine sees him reunite with London-based creative and partner-in-crime Thomas Harrington-Rawle - the creator of Care More, featured on Nowness, Arte and more. Set to become the central focus for all things creative, Difference Engine will serve as a diverse ‘mother hub’ for a myriad of new projects from the pair, including GUM Magazine - an experimental print publication set to challenge existing publications and zines with a focus real conversations and forward-thinking audiovisual work - while also absorbing Bjarki’s longstanding imprint bbbbbb recors next year. The launch arrives on the heels of the duo's recent conceptual audiovisual show ‘Look At Yourself’ exploring and experimenting with ‘ai’ technology during ADE at Amsterdam’s renowned Nxt Museum, with forthcoming appearances in Foligno, Italy on 29th December and in London in the New Year. Opening 2023, the label boss unveils the first EP in a three-part series, ‘Look At Yourself Part 1’. At long last, hi-tek whizz-kid Metrist returns to Timedance with the third addition to the ‘Pollen’ series and brings his epic trilogy started in 2019 to a breath-catching end. Elevating an already unique approach of sonic craftsmanship to whole new levels, the London based producer delivers some of his wildest and most dramatic compositions to date while pushing further his signature blend of 22nd century dancefloor pyrotechnics.
