Synth wizard, soundtrack composer, and Zombi member, Steve Moore expands further on his stark and drama filled cosmic sound with a new six track lp. These tracks call to mind to his early-L.I.E.S. releases, where Moore focused on cold arppegations and basic beat constructions to fuel his epic productions which center around pristine soaring synthscapes. A master of the genre, Moore gives us an equal mix of explosive, creepy home at the end of a dark street floor fodder as well as slower tempo cosmic headcrushers, all capable of getting your head or niteclub in a frenzy. Hugely influential electronic innovator Sasha has been at the heart of the underground almost since it began. He has done it all, from legendary residencies and seminal mix CDs to Grammy Award-nominated productions, but never stops pushing forward either with his dexterous and high-tech DJ sets or innovative productions. He had a big 2023 that featured a collaboration with Because of Art and a new single, 'Works Vagon,' and now backs that up once more with this latest outing.

The superb 'Fleuron Drift' is a typically epic sonic journey with meticulous synth craft that is ever evolving. Lead lines dance, and background chords add soul as the hypnotic drums lead towards a spellbinding and signature breakdown that will get hands in the air before the chords swirl and circle around the groove like birds on a warm vector.

London-based Theo Kottis has established himself as one of the UK's most versatile DJs and producers on labels like Dekmantel and Permanent Vacation. His superb remix brings more energy and snappier, tech-leaning drums with glitchy synth textures, making it more suited to sweatier dance floor moments.

Kassian is a London production duo who have released on cult labels like Heist and Phonica. Their version is quicker, with clipped drums bringing the funk under molten chords and rising synth tension that is designed to lift crowds off their feet and into another realm of electronic pleasure.

For the second release, AF 1268 welcomes the UK tech house don, Rob Pearson. Expect infectious house grooves, twisted acid beeps and trippy minimal basslines. Top-class and timeless club music.

Conceived in the spring of 2012, this masterpiece is the culmination of a decade-long friendship between Reimer Eising aka Kettel, and Lennard van der Last aka Secede, two of the most talented electronic music producers from The Netherlands. 'When Can' is not just a collection of songs; it's a seamless continuum where each track breathes life into the next. As the listener delves into the sonic story, the music leads to uncharted territories, incorporating ambient and cinematic sounds and blending them with reminiscences from Renaissance to Baroque music. Far from a preconceived plan, the album organically unfolded, capturing the essence of the musical exploration from these two brilliant minds. (Japanese pressing, Official reissue) Brilliant synth prog weirdness from the late 1970s Tokyo. Recorded by the guitarist Akio Niitsu who was compared, not without reason, to Manuel Göttsching. Niitsu has a fairly small discography of only three full-length albums, but his second one - “Pet Step” - was on Tomita’s label and supposedly with the involvement of Haruomi Hosono (this is according to Chee Shimizu who lists it in his “Obscure Music”).

Akio Niitsu's first album, "i/o(i･o)" released in 1978, was produced in a homemade studio that had been converted from a storeroom in his home, and he spent three years doing everything from composition to engineering by himself, using overdubbed guitar recordings. 's first analog re-release has been decided.As a guitar multi-recording album, the idea was realized six years earlier than the album "e2-e4" released in 1984 by Manuel Göttsching, the central figure of "Ash La Tempel", but it was too early. A hidden experimental/ambient gem!The paradoxical sound that makes you feel as if you are lost deep in a labyrinthine forest, combined with Tadanori Yokoo's artwork, is a piece that allows you to enjoy Akio Niitsu's worldview with your ears and eyes.

Alwanzatar is a one-man musical project (Krizla from Norwegian cult heroes Tusmørke) creating extraterrestrial world music, with flute, incantations, synthesizers and electronics. This is Alwanzatar’s sixth album, performed on synthesizers and flute. Engsyre is dance music for the faery folk feasting in the woods, where the murmur of the city falls silent, and the booming bass of dreams takes over. It is the slow pulse of the blood in the ground, life sliding through roots of hungry trees, the scurrying movements of living creatures that do no wish to be seen. Hidden, until they show themselves in awesome splendour and sound reverberates in the hills.

Veteran electrohead and former artist on the Rephlex Records roseter DMX Krew's Ed DMX takes the well-known story by Jorge Luis Borges of The Library of Babel, said to contain all the different languages of the earth. Some deep philosophical thought has gone into the album's concept, but we'll leave that to Ed to explain. Instead, we'll tell you that from beginning to end there's plenty of the kind of trademark 80s synth playfulness in evidence, with a generally more mellow and soundtrack-related rather than frenetic and dancefloor-filling vibe in evidence, even on faster tracks like 'The Combed Thunderclap'. Still, Ed knows what he's doing when it comes to this kind of leftfield electro gear, and it's a rewarding, never boring listen.

Label boss El Prevost makes a welcome return to No Speakers after it's been on something of a break. Thankfully the quality levels remain high here as he kicks off with 'Catastrophizing', a brilliantly bass-heavy cut with broken beats to make you sweat. On the flip, 'Landing' has a more inward sense of reflection with its fizzing synths and deep space atmospheres making an indelible mark. Last of all, the magic of Detroit looms large with a superb remix by Motor City mainstay Kyle Hall. His version of 'Landing' brings some jazzy melodic vibes and one of his trademark deep house and bumping grooves. This is another essential 12" from No Speakers.
