Diese Uhqr-Stereo-Wiederveröffentlichung ist auf 20.000 Exemplare limitiert und hat einen mit Goldfolie einzeln nummerierten Umschlag.

Bei seiner Erstveröffentlichung im Jahr 1967 stellte "Are You Experienced" die Musikwelt auf den Kopf, denn Hendrix zeigte allen, was es bedeutet, "erfahren" zu sein. Hendrix synthetisierte verschiedene Elemente der modernsten Rockmusik von 1967 zu einer Musik, die sowohl futuristisch klang als auch in den besten Traditionen von Rock, Blues, Pop und Soul verwurzelt war. Die meiste Aufmerksamkeit erhielt natürlich seine atemberaubende Gitarrenarbeit, mit der er neue klangliche Territorien in Bezug auf Rückkopplung, Verzerrung und schiere Lautstärke erschloss. Das hätte jedoch nicht viel bedeutet ohne sein hervorragendes Material, ob psychedelische Raserei ("Foxey Lady", "Manic Depression", "Purple Haze"), instrumentale Freak-Out-Jams ("Third Stone from the Sun"), Blues ("Hey Joe") oder zarte, poetische Kompositionen ("The Wind Cries Mary"), die die Bandbreite seines Songwriting-Talents demonstrierten. Nicht zu unterschätzen waren die Beiträge von Schlagzeuger Mitch Mitchell und Bassist Noel Redding, die der Musik einen rhythmischen Puls gaben, der Teile des Rock und des improvisierten Jazz verschmolz.

Was Jimi über die Neuauflage seines Debütalbums in den USA durch Reprise Records dachte, die "The Wind Cries Mary", "Purple Haze" und "Hey Joe" in die ursprüngliche 11-Track-Liste aufnahmen, ist nicht ganz bekannt. Aber Jimi äußerte bei späteren Bühnenauftritten seine Enttäuschung darüber, dass "Red House", seine großartige Original-Blueskomposition, aus dem US-Album gestrichen worden war.

Die US-Version des Titels wurde im August 1967 veröffentlicht. Enthalten sind auch die ersten drei britischen Singles der Gruppe: "Purple Haze", "Hey Joe" und "The Wind Cries Mary".

Diese Uhqr wurde von dem legendären Bernie Grundman von den originalen analogen Masterbändern remastert. Jede Uhqr wird im Presswerk von Acoustic Sounds, Quality Record Pressings (qrp), auf handselektiertem Clarity Vinyl® gepresst, wobei auf jedes einzelne Detail geachtet wird. Diese Platten weisen das gleiche flache Profil auf, das die ursprüngliche Uhqr so begehrenswert gemacht hat. Every cartridge diamond stylus becomes worn after a period of play.

Around 500 hours for a conical stylus, 300 hours for an Elliptical stylus, 1000 hours for a Microlinear stylus, and 800 hours for a Shibata stylus.

Our VM95 Series dual moving magnet cartridges can be used almost forever by replacing the interchangeable stylus. History
The history of vibration needle cleaners goes back to the 1970s. There were devices from various companies which, at high frequency, transmitted through a liquid, detached the contamination of the needle. After the release of the CD and falling turntable sales in the 80s and especially in the 90s, these devices disappeared from the market. Unfortunately for many record listeners, this was not reissued due to the high cost. FLUX-HiFi took up this idea with the SONIC and developed the technology anew. The result is fantastic!

The cleaning
The stylus is the primary component in the playback process. The movement by which tension is later induced arises here. The goal is to exactly follow the groove in the micrometer range. In order to achieve this perfectly, the manufacturers of pickups make great efforts. However, if the needle is dirty, the diamond , no matter how polished and ground it is – cannot exactly follow the deflection. It reacts too early or too late, distortions occur. Even supposedly clean records are covered with dust, partly visible, partly invisible in the groove. It contains particles of silicates, polymers and organic matter. These stick to the needle due to the high temperature during the scanning process. How quickly this happens is in Fig. 1. Already after playing a record side, almost nothing is recognizable from the needle in front of dirt. Figure. 2 shows the needle after cleaning with a normal, dry needle brush. Fibers are removed, but the encrustation remains. Only an aggressive liquid cleaner provides a reasonably cleaned surface of the diamond, see fig. 3. However, since these cleaners can attack not only the glue of the diamond, but also, above all, the sensitive rubber parts of the suspension of the needle carrier, caution should be exercised here. Figure. 4 shows the needle after applying the Flux-Sonic. Without attacking parts of the pickup, the result is excellent. The needle shines in a new splendour. (Fig. 1-4 )

The technology
The principle of action is similar to that of an ultrasonic cleaner from dental technology or an ultrasonic bath for spectacle lenses. A strong high-frequency vibration ensures a cleaning of the surfaces. Some substances, such as aluminium, are damaged by ultrasound treatment. Even if the diamond were perfectly cleaned, the glue nubs and the suspension of the needle carrier would be damaged, as would the use of aggressive liquid cleaners.
The FLUX-Sonic vibration cleaner, on the other hand, operates at a low frequency. The circuit and mechanics are designed to have a three-dimensional vibration on the needle, ensuring that any dirt particles are removed. The frequency is precisely tuned in such a way that damage to the adhesive or suspension is excluded – but the cleaning result is maximum. The deflections are far from the values of the actual sampling. The movement of the needle thus corresponds only to a fraction of the load of the play-off process.
A liquid is required to transfer the vibration from the device to the needle. This has an additional, gentle cleaning effect and is produced on an isopropanol basis. After application, it evaporates without residue. Flux fluid is applied on a specially designed pad made of the finest PE fibers. Already these fibers produce a capillary effect, which is very similar to the effect of a liquid, due to their number and the resulting density. In combination with FLUX-Fluid, the result is a perfect combination that transmits the vibration and absorbs the dirt at the same time. The application is recommended before each play.

The result
The cleaning process takes only 15 seconds, then the optimum is already reached. The scanning capability of the pickup system is improved. Less abrasion also increases the lifespan of the needle. Scanning noise is significantly minimized. Soundfully, the difference is outstanding. Both distortions and annoying side noises have largely disappeared. Playback has become much more dynamic and enjoyable. Unpleasant tips are no longer present and even the largest controls are rendered without distortion. The frequency range seems to be extended, especially in the bass and altitude range. As well as cleaning the needle, the cleaning of the record is of course also very important. Make sure that records are as clean as possible. A Flux-Hifi device is already in development.

Founded in 1992 in Umea, now recognized as a European punk hub, Abhinanda played a significant role in shaping the history and development of the 90's hardcore scene. Alongside their contemporaries Refused (with whom they frequently shared and swapped members), they were instrumental in the international breakthrough and popularization of Scandinavian hardcore. Much credit for this goes to singer Jose Saxlund, who, along with Dennis Lyxzen (Refused, Int. Noise Conspiracy), operated the Straight Edge label "Desperate Fight" and played a vital role in consistently releasing recordings from the thriving Swedish scene. Finally, the entire Abhinanda discography will be available once again, this time on strictly limited vinyl: The five-vinyl box set comes in an elegant cardboard slipcase, with each individual record housed in a gatefold cover and accompanied by a large-format poster. There have been more than 40 U.S. releases (and hundreds more worldwide) of Stan Getz's cultural touchstone album and for good reason: few recordings better capture the breezy warmth and easy-going sophistication of Brazilian bossa nova for an American jazz audience. Fewer recordings can replicate the you-are-there presence and flawlessly tight studio acoustics. Only Getz/Gilberto has Billboard Top-10-charting singles like "The Girl from Ipanema." When Impex Records jumps into this densely-populated fray with our own production, we need to bring maximum value and prestige to it. Challenge accepted. We worked directly with Stan's wife Monica Getz and their son Nicolaus to create the most authentic, best-presented Getz/Gilberto ever.

Exclusive to Impex's 1step Getz/Gilberto includes an insightful new interview/essay by Charles Granata featuring Monica reminiscences of the making of this record, the subsequent cultural phenomenon, and Stan's battles with some pretty heavy demons. Also unique to this release are two bonus tracks: an alternate mono 7" mix of "The Girl from Ipanema" (without the added echo, thank you very much) and a live recording of "Corcovado" from Carnegie Hall. Finally, the large-format, 36-page booklet features dozens of rare photos, the original album notes, and a fascinating personal remembrance from Monica Getz herself, celebrating her late husband's work and an inside look at Stan's family life while making the record!

Using the original analog master tapes and no computers at all, Bernie Grundman at Bernie Grundman Mastering sought to keep the sense of space and tone on the master tape intact without unnecessary embellishment. Impex 1steps get you closer to the source, not the ideal.

We know you have many choices when it comes to enjoying this singular album. The Impex 1step of Getz/Gilberto cuts above all other releases with added-value content that takes you deeper into Stan Getz's life and process in a way never previously possible.

The 1step Process:

The Impex 1step process relies on short, tightly-controlled runs that require a new lacquer after each 500 pressings. This unforgiving format has the lacquer skipping the regular father-mother process, going right to a single convert and then pressing. Though this dramatically increases mastering and production costs, it also assures each run is more consistent from disc to disc, with less noise, clearer details and deeper bass.

Reducing production complexity to just a single "convert" disc between the lacquer and the press greatly improves groove integrity, diminishes non-fill anomalies and increases signal integrity from the master tape to your system.
