Benefitting from the ultra-low noise floor and groove definition of SuperVinyl, Raising Hell unleashes a torrent of massive dynamics and tsunami of frequency-plumbing details underlined by Rick Rubin's taut, crisp, albeit raw and streetwise production. His signature triple-time flow undoubtedly contributed to the rise of the multi-platinum group and his violent, often horrific lyrics are one reason behind the “666” in “Triple 6 Mafia.”

Terrace Martin is known for being the main producer on Kendrick Lamar's historic masterpiece To Pimp A Butterfly. His debut album 3ChordFold, released in 2013, is finally available on vinyl!

When this album was released in 2013, he was still not well-known worldwide, but had already gained a following as a notable producer in the hip-hop and jazz worlds. The album features guest appearances from a number of great musicians, including Kendrick Lamar, Robert Glasper, Snoop Dogg, Ab-Soul, Wiz Khalifa, Lalah Hathaway, Musiq Soulchild, Ty Dolla $ign and 9th wonder. It should also be noted that a number of artists who stepped up later have participated on the album.

The style of seamlessly combining sampling and instrumental performance to freely cross hip-hop, soul, and jazz is reminiscent of the Soulquarians, and is showcased in a cover of 'I'm For Real,' an 80's urban soul gem by Howard Hewett, featuring with a star-studded lineup including Snoop Dogg and Lalah Hathaway. Kendrick Lamar is featured on the exquisite mellow tune 'Triangle Ship', which samples the AOR classic 'What You Won't Do For Love' by Bobby Caldwell. Formed by Toronto DJ/ producers K.Cut, Sir Scratch, and Brooklyn MC/producer Large Professor, Main Source was one of the seminal groups of the East Coast’s hip-hop scene in 90’s. Divinity is a sci-fi dystopian odyssey produced by Steven Soderbergh and helmed by visionary director Eddie Alcazar. Set in the distant future, scientist Sterling Pierce dedicated his life to the quest for immortality, slowly making progress developing a serum named Divinity. Jaxxon Pierce, his son, now controls and profits from his father’s once benevolent dream. Society on their barren planet has been entirely perverted by the supremacy and pervasiveness of the drug. Two mysterious brothers arrive with a plan to abduct the mogul, and with the help of a woman named Nikita, they set on a trajectory hurtling toward true immortality.

Amidst the film’s extraordinary tapestry of stark aesthetics and themes, the score is a ten ton barbell of sonic weight. Crafted with 8-bit samplers, Wavestation synths, extended choir and string techniques, the soundtrack manages to swing wildly between the arenas of both music and sound design. Like all rich soundtracks, listening to the score on its own re-conjures the imagery of the film in the screen of the listener’s mind, an aural experience that manages to encapsulate and pulse a matched intensity of the film.

Tracks like ‘The Brothers’ and ‘Reflective Dreams’ cascade Vangelis-esque tones, painting with broad strokes of cinematic grandeur and ethereal wonder. ‘Main Titles’ and ‘Infinity Techno’ conversely swing hard into relentless, punishing sonics; with brutal, pulsing energy representative of the twisted, relentless pursuit of immortality. A standout of the album is undoubtedly “Divinity 2 Infinity: The Odyssey,” featuring cult hip-hop hero and lyrical-savant Kool Keith. Written for the film’s end credits, the track is a satisfying throwback to the 90’s original soundtrack cut bespoke-tailored to the film’s narrative themes.

DJ Muggs and Dean Hurley’s synergy yields a soundtrack that takes Divinity beyond the screen and into a multi-dimensional experience, inviting its listener along uncharted aural terrain for an unforgettable odyssey in sound.

Intro is an American R&B group that emerged in the early 1990s. The group consisted of members Jeff Sanders, Clinton "Buddy" Wike, and lead vocalist/songwriter Kenny "G-Love" Greene. They gained popularity during the golden era of R&B and enjoyed success with their soulful harmonies and smooth ballads.
In 1993, INTRO released their self-titled debut album Intro, which featured the hit singles "Come Inside," "Let Me Be The One," and "Love Thang." The album received critical acclaim and showcased their ability to deliver heartfelt ballads and merging R&B tracks over hip hop beats. The smooth harmonies and passionate vocals of Kenny Greene and the group's overall chemistry made their music stand out.
To celebrate its 30th anniversary, we are proud to reissue the band's debut album for the first time as an expanded 2LP edition. Intro (Expanded) is available as a 30th anniversary edition of 750 individually numbered copies on orange (LP1) and green (LP2) coloured vinyl. Its D-side consists of 3 bonus tracks from their album New Life.

The Lost Tapes originally released on September 23, 2002, is a compilation of Nas tracks he recorded from 1998 to 2001 during the recording sessions of I AM.. and Stillmatic. Several of the cuts were leaked and circulated on mixtapes, but were never properly mastered or commercially released until compiled for The Lost Tapes. The album features production by The Alchemist, L.E.S., Poke and Tone, Rockwilder, D-Dot and Precision.

When The Lost Tapes was finally released, it instantly made waves. Even with its collection of already-recorded and unused material, it managed to be cohesive and profound, propelling it to reach the status of a classic album. The Lost Tapes marked a crucial time in Nas’ discography, serving as a precursor to his 2003 album God’s Son. His development as an artist was certainly prominent during the making of The Lost Tapes, which allowed him to flourish and become one of the most successful and highly regarded hip-hop artists of all time.

Get On Down is proud to present this limited edition 20 year anniversary pressing of The Lost Tapes for the first time on vinyl since its original release in 2002.
