This is a very special EP. As many might know Toy Tonics started as a sublabel of now sleeping German indie dance label Gomma records. Gomma, along with DFA, Output Records and a few other was knownn for a very ecclectic, different approach in dance music. On this Lost Gomma Mixes EP you find 4 now lost tracks that came out ca 10 - 20 years ago on Gomma, but fit very well in today’s zeitgeist again. Pete Herbert, In Flagranti, Jacques Lu Cont are featured. Who knows about modern disco - knows these producers. And there is a very special name here too: Nicky Siano. The now legendary New York DJ used to be resident at Studio 54 and other legendary NYC venues of the 1970ies and 1980ies. One of his are remix works was for the Gomma rcords band The Kdms. His track “Espacio Profundo” is a deep, beautiful house jam with an almost disco bassline, perhaps different from what you’ve heard from him but no less outstanding.
A2. Lerosa - “Ausgang”
Lerosa has been releasing bangers through a variety of labels throughout the world, with his album on Uzuri and EP for Apartment being the most recent examples. On “Ausgang”, he creates a perfect summertime house track based around a looping vocal snippet and funky synth chords, sure to kill at outdoor sets and pool parties as well as clubs.
B1. Moonstarr - “Complications”
Moonstarr may have been relatively quiet recently, but his track record speaks for itself: releases on Sonar Kollectiv, Compost, and his own Public Transit contain many classics. B2 is Dez Williams with a track that started as a jam and part of a mix that he did for the Unity WOD show, an absolute slammer of a track. Last but by no means least it’s Body Hammers own Scott Fraser, Label stable mates back when we were both part of the great AW’s Emissions Audio Output going back some 30 years. Scott delivers something that you’re going to need a bit of staying power with, absolute Monster!

Last but not least, the eccentric Jefferson Belmondo makes an appearance with a disco-ish anthem called Booty Groove. The title kind of reveals where he's coming from as Jefferson might be unknown for most as far as we know he's a bonafide legend. We don't have much info on our hands about this moustache wearing fellow apart from that his production skills are impeccable

Founded in 2010 by German DJ and producer Marcel
Vogel, the ‘Lumberjacks in Hell’ label has won fans
over the world thanks to its deeply rooted, timeless

Chicago dance music label not based in Chicago”,
the imprint has seen legends such as Rahaan,
Soulphiction, Karizma and Jamie 3:26 (whose ‘Taste

shoulders with virtually unknown names, ensuring
that great music is always the star of the show.
Convinced he had to contribute something unique to
DJ culture, Marcel Vogel began “chopping up soulful
tunes” in the early 2000’s. After moving to
Amsterdam in 2010, he founded ‘Lumberjacks In
Hell’, initially as a conduit for his own edits and
productions. Soon he found himself releasing
original tracks from his musical heroes and bringing
the ‘Lumberjacks’ sound to clubs and festivals all

Born out of a friendship that has been stretching many years, DJ Sneak lets loose two heavyweight house weapons on Darius Syrossian’s Moxy Muzik with label head Syrossian also serving up his own Sneak sampling slice of heat, complete with a remix from none other than Todd Edwards. Sneak had mentioned to Syrossian that he had been spending some serious time in the studio, for the love of producing without any particular label in mind. Having heard what Sneak was sitting on, Syrossian signed up a bunch of the material with this EP being the first in series. The A side is trademark Sneak, punchy and passionate with a real OG’s touch. Signature skippiness with a bumping groove, this is Sneak leaving everything at the door and pressing record without any worries in mind. On the flip, Syrossian slots into place a perfectly sampled section of one of Sneak’s voicenotes to him for ‘Big Bizness’, a beefy roller that’s certainly not messing about. Todd Edwards heard it, loved it and was brought in to remix it in true Todd ‘The God’ style. One of the biggest tracks at Defected Croatia this is a must for the bag.
