De-tü return to Infernal Sounds for their 5th outing and this time lay siege to the bootleg/white label XXX series. The follow up to their sold out 'Tried By Tu / Waiting For Jah' which featured as Xxx002 back in 2019 features two heavy hitters.

Gatekeeping' kicks off the A side with a familiar intro, before thrusting you into a frenzy of sample slices, mid-range melodies and a real face-scrunching low-end fusion. It's a classic dance floor destroyer and one that'll be doing the rounds for years to come. 'Mojigao' on the B side takes things in a completely different direction and is more reminiscent to the De-tü sound we all know and love. Textural dubbed out tones and building vocals lead into the drop, before you're plunged into an ocean of reverberating bass, and a progressive synth pattern. You're completely submerged and washed with smooth and soothing bass, while the track takes an even more progressive step to really switch things up. It's trademark De-tü at it's finest.

As with the previous XXX series, the release is vinyl-only (never to be released digitally) and will not be repressed.

Infernal Sounds kick off 2023 with their first record of the year from FLO, ØZ & Q100 and present a top-tier 4 track EP titled 'Cruizer'. These three have been locked in the lab cooking tunes together for some time, but this is their debut release on 12". The title track 'Cruizer' kicks things off, hitting you square in the face with brute force aggression and some of the most gnarly sound design you'll come across. 'Rewind' starts a little more subdued, and hits a lower, moody tone to set the vibe on a different course, whereas 'Screwface' draws for a mid-ground between the two, touching on techy elements and a dancing mid-range pattern. 'Peeker's Advantage' finishes things on a nice and tough exterior, shapeshifting back and forth and formulating a strong finish to the release. 'Listen Carefully' is exclusively available via 12" purchases on Bandcamp and stream-only.

Zygos debuts on Infernal Sounds and dishes out a select choice of sliced delicacys to celebrate the return of the XXX vinyl-only series. The third instalment features a variety of different bootlegged beats, consisting of sneaky sampling and continues in the same vein as the series previous endevours, providing a jam-packed 12" of premium vibes and weight.

'Svensk Riddim' kicks off the release by sampling a light, playful mainframe, centred around a track of Swedish origin, it's the perfect dancefloor feeler to get the bodies moving. Whereas 'Ekte Dub' strips everything back, giving you the lower notes that you'll have come to expect from Zygos. Wrapping proceedings up is the grime-licked 'Waves', taking note from a classic sax piece and snapping it for the perfect slice and dice.

Spanning way back to 004 on the label in which he made his debut on Infernal Sounds with two tracks 'Cross Of Hendaye' & 'Finis Gloriae Mundi', he drives a different style and reflection on this endeavour. The title-track 'Hunedoara' is the crowd pleaser - hitting you with the heavyweight stomping war chant, whereas both 'Akasha' and the textural 'Layers' on the B-side are melody centered and display the more playful side to the French producers repertoire. Having already received the backing from the likes of Truth, DJ Squarewave, and many other reputable artists in the scene, this is a plate that's armed for the dance or for playing at home.

Infernal Sounds return with their Digiv series and with this instalment they focus on the catalogue #005 - 008. Hypho, Abstrakt Sonance and the vocal wizardry of Rakjay kick off the release in fine style, hitting you with the rough and tough VIP sounds of 'Take It Or Leave It', before the release takes a more surreal and somber twist with one of the standout tracks from the Digi series from last year, 'How Do You Know' by Darkimh. Having previously graced the label with Ifsdigi002 and as part of the Ifsdigiv001 record which landed earlier this year, Kodama marks his return to Infernal Sounds with a 4 track solo EP on their main catalogue. As to be expected from the producer he showcases his musical and melodic prowess throughout, touching on darker tones whilst displaying the lighter, nibble notes we've all come to expect to hear from him.

'Gekko' opens up the EP, beautifully constructing a kaleidoscope of emotion and spanning textures, whilst 'Fijit' hits a little differently, layering daunting droplets of reverb, revealing a sinister underbelly to the overall vibe.

The B-side opener, 'Sneakers' leads with drawing melodies, before breaking into a bass-infused medley. 'Wiretap' finishes the EP with accurate precision, again providing an example of Kodama's use of melodic structures, whilst drawing you down a spectrum of sound and feeling.

It's one of those EP's which isn't particularly packed with out-right bangers for the dancefloor, but more of a display of the newer 140 sound, and a selection of tunes which cohesively gel into a neat little package. For the DJ's who love to build, these are dying to be part of your collection and are perfect to get the crowd on the correct vibe.

Infernal Sounds bring their digital series to life with this spicy VA compilation, snipping four of the standout tracks from their first four EP's. The VA presents tracks from all over the world, spanning from Japan to the US, back home to Bristol and bouncing to Barcelona. Karnage, 'Spirit Bomb' kicks things off by slicing and dicing you with mid-range blades and tearing you apart with the heavy trap-style low-end ruckus. Switching things up completely on the A2 is Kodama with the wonderful 'Clear Your Head', entangling you in the beautiful melodies and uplifting mainframe, before Chief Kaya spins you all the way back to '06 on 'Ma'at'. The track brings about an essence of the old-school and a premium beat that you need to feel on a soundsystem. Finally, Khanum drops you in with and takes you under with 'Bun Politician', a strong message for the times, and a forceful track at that.

The tracks on this EP have had heavy support from the likes of Truth, N-type, BunZer0, Sicaria Sound, Deep Tempo, Hamdi and many more.
