Item Description
The Shaolin saga continues:

During the early nineties, there was no place for hip hop in the Swedish music scene, especially for a couple of young guys from the northern part of Sweden.

David, one of the rappers from the group "Bakers Of The Holy Bread" was in New York in 1994 where he meets up with Knoah and Angel, who together had the rap duo "FNS". A friendship blossoms quickly and even faster, they are in the studio working together. After hearing the productions and beats of Collén & Webb from Sundsvall in Sweden, established rappers from Staten Island now wanted to spit bars on the beats.

Maybe the dream of pizza slices, New York and major labels is not that far away after all?

David returns to his everyday life in Umeå and after a short time, Knoah also appears in Sweden, ready to create music. With a fresh start and after several flights back and forth between New York and Sundsvall, they are finally starting to be able to complete Knoah's debut album.

After two long years, back and forth across the Atlantic, a record company has heard what they are looking for and can possibly launch the album. The timing is very inappropriate as Knoah is in Swedish custody for a minor violent crime which took place in a concert in Stockholm, a short time before the meeting. During the meeting with the record company, Collén & Webb must now present their work, but without Knoah in the room. As you can see, the meeting was odd when they had to come up with "sensible" explanations why the rapper himself can not attend.

There was no record deal.
There was no launch of the album.
Knoah returned to his home in New York.

During all these years we have never been able to listen to these songs that were recorded, (except for a promo 12" released back in 1997), nor do the majority know that it was recorded. All this happened during an era, which is considered to be the most beautiful and finest in hip hop, which we nerds call: the golden age. The fact that Inspectah Deck from the legendary Wu-Tang Clan is featured on the record says a lot about this release.
