David Versace is an Australian multi-genre keyboardist, composer and producer based in Meanjin, Queensland. Growing up in a very musical household it was always important to express and embrace all types of music and sonics. His sound ranges from Jazz and Samba to ambient works and the odd dance-floor heater. David also plays in Meanjin nu-jazz dance outfit First Beige.
Since late 2019, he has self released around 20 different tracks and with the most recent signing to La Sape Records David is excited to announce his debut solo album 'Okra' a conceptual body of work that flows through a culmination of raw organic concepts conceived by In The Moment, and his most elegant & articulated work yet.

Founded in 2019, Astral Flex is a band of musicians/producers born of an ascendant local culture of producer based, improvised music in Melbourne, Australia. Recorded on the 50th anniversary of humankind's first step on the moon, their debut release "I Can See My House From Here" is presented here in two forms; as a spacey nu-jazz improvisation on Side A, and as a collection of house/electronic remixes on Side B.

After releasing their aptly titled first three LPs (I, II & Iii) Godtet concluded their
triptych with the idea of a 'clean slate'. To allow the universe of Godtet to grow
the band hit reset somewhat. Returning to their original conception of the band;
Hitting record in the studio without preconceived thought or discussion on the
outcome.

After recording Meditations Godtet were asked to pay homage to the great John
Coltrane at The Sydney Opera House during their lockdown web series in 2020. To
celebrate the 50 year anniversary of 'Giant Steps' Godtet reimagined the seminal
body of work into one long set. The band collaborated with local artists Chris Cooper
& Sam Whickham who designed the audio visual aspect of the show. And after an
astounding reception, decided to utilise the two artists to build upon Meditations.
The 'Suite' EP (which features on the B side of 'Meditations') is the amalgamation of the earlier Godtet LP sounds and Godriguez's produced albums, through-composed as a 15 minute suite. To be true to the long-form, through-composed piece, the band recorded this release live; one take, no over-dubs and straight to
tape much like the 'Meditations' sessions, but composed.
The cathartic opening of 'Suite' awakens the gods with a sombre Welsh men's choir.
Their vibrato ripples across the ocean as the second movement lands the listener in
the Solomon Islands where bamboo sticks are tapped against rock. As the band
nods to 'Struck Bamboo Pipes' from their last LP. Dub Horns blaze out of the
calming movements, fractured polyrhythmic, post-dub-step energy takes hold. 'The
sounds bleed into a neighbouring Trinidadian street festival as they march across
the Atlantic. The end is nigh, Moroccan percussion and vocals dance as Godriguez's
roots shine bright. What it all a dream? A Ghanian 'Women's Choir' lulls back
consciousness. The 5-piece bids us farewell, sounds of the forked harp and Baoule
men singing is all that remains. And just like that, the trip is over.

JK Group are a powerhouse nu-jazz band fronted by Melbourne saxophonist Josh Kelly, best known for his work with future soul-jazz collective, 30/70, and being the 2019 PBS Young Elder of Jazz. They sit in the crossover of raw, live jazz and electronic/dance production. At times synth-heavy, effected and soundscapey, while at other times hard hitting groove laden with spiritual jazz overtones and no-holds-barred improvising. Their sound nods respectfully to classic jazz traditions, whilst carving a path that unashamedly looks towards the future, embracing modern influences and production techniques. The album received a 5* review from Melbourne's own Mike Gurrieri, and has garnered radio play on PBS, RRR, Worldwide FM, NTS and more. The debut LP 'The Young Ones' is due out on La Sape March 27th.

Henry Hicks AKA Horatio Luna is a Melbourne based improviser, composer, bassist and producer.
A founding member of hip-hop/soul community "30/70 collective", he is an active member of the Australian beatz, jazz and soul music scene.
After parting with 30/70 in 2019, Horatio featured on the Gilles Petersons Brownswood compilation 'Sunnyside Up', released a 12" 'Print It, Run It, Send It', Remixed Moodyman approved Jitwams music and focused his sights on working and collaborating with the younger generation of players in Melbourne, serving as the musical director on 'downundaground' and joining Antiphon among many other groups.

On-Ly is the solo and collaborative moniker of pianist and producer Joshua Smeltink. Spanning genres, On-Ly's house and hip-hop history is ever-present and imbued with the hard-hitting post-bop jazz-rock of the 60's / 70's, harking back to bands such as Weather Report and Miles Davis Group (70s).
Reflecting on great leaders and great bands and what makes them essential; there is not too much more that On-Ly has considered for Wonderlust. Following a challenging recovery period after chemotherapy in late 2021, Joshua Moshe embarked on a transformative musical journey, shedding his band persona and embracing a solo identity. The culmination of this artistic exploration is his debut album 'Inner Search', recorded six months after completing treatment.
